Senior Product Marketing Manager, Casual Games
Summary
Big Fish Games is looking for an experienced, results-driven Senior Product Marketing Manager with a proven track record of driving product success across the entire player lifecycle. An ideal candidate for this role will be a strategic and tactical thought leader for CRM and Lifecycle Marketing, eager to play a role in growing the Product Marketing discipline at Big Fish.
They'll be an expert in their field and a seasoned professional with a particular focus on developing globally relevant but locally specific player journeys, aligning marketing with development teams at all stages of live game management. You'll lead strategic marketing initiatives which will drive customer engagement, retention, monetization and win-back.
You will work within the Brand team, as part of the Growth department, serving as a key marketing point of contact with studios, working on our casual portfolio games to help shape and build them into relevant and differentiated brands. This senior figure will need to be a smart risk taker who can deliver big ideas to drive awareness through to engagement.
Responsibilities
Lifecycle Marketing Excellence

  • Collaborate with the Casual Game Marketing Lead to build a lifecycle marketing center of excellence and knowledge base at Big Fish for our casual game portfolio.
  • Take the lead in driving innovation, assessing technological solutions, championing testing, and establishing organizational best practices across CRM and Lifecycle Marketing.
  • Manage the studio side marketing tech pipeline, planning integrations, managing feature request prioritization, and participating in related sprint planning with studio dev, while managing the asks from various marketing stakeholders including ASO, UA, Ad Monetization, and Insights teams.
  • Have a sophisticated knowledge of CRM (email, inbox, interstitial, push) systems such as Leanplum, Salesforce, Braze, or Adobe, managing marketing tools connected to product integration and continual management.
  • Work at the strategic level (generating bold and innovative ideas for growth) while addressing potential business challenges, diving deep, and digging up insights.
  • Serve as a key marketing point of contact for development teams, providing marketing insight and guidance to studio leadership and ensuring marketing opportunities and interests are represented at all stages of game development, launch, and live operations.
  • Develop and implement team strategies that produce holistic customer experiences, mapping the customer lifecycle and focusing on key strategic opportunities across the pivotal stages of the customer journey.
  • Incorporate customer research and insights to develop core behavioral segmentation and the best customer experiences.
  • Responsible for driving competitive product analysis and teardown while maintaining a thorough understanding of the competitor's landscape and market trends


Live Campaign Management

  • Manage the player communication strategy across the entire lifecycle of our leading casual games to increase engagement and monetization within our live titles.
  • Lead always on tactical player comms and Go-To-Market campaign planning for channels including email, cross-promo, push, in-game marketing tools.
  • Plan, own, and execute testing roadmaps to continuously improve multi-channel (push, email, in-game, etc.) performance that leads to growth.
  • Collaborate with the Casual Game Marketing Lead to develop a cross-promotion strategy for our casual portfolio.
  • Manage and socialize marketing calendars and marketing plans to support content releases and live operations promotional planning as well as win back and re-engagement campaigns for lapsed players.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities within the product roadmap for featuring, coordinating with Platform Relations to maintain a featuring roadmap and prepare featuring asks for partners.
  • Data driven - obsess over the performance of our marketing channels and share results with cross-functional and executive leadership.
  • Communicate timeline, risks, issues, and mitigation plans both verbally and in written format.
  • Pull and analyze data around engagement marketing campaigns and drive actionable consumer insights.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the consumer facing product marketing function of a company, preferably in online entertainment products.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent in-role experience.
  • Positive, agile team player with a self-serve attitude. Someone who will roll-up their sleeves, jump in and get the job done.
  • An individual comfortable working autonomously, that will proactively seek out information and drive projects with little instruction.
  • Expert in their area of specialization and are able to elevate both their team and organization through their work.
  • Effectively mentor & coach teammates by providing guidance and training on day-to-day tasks as well as short-term and long-term goals.
  • Entrepreneurial with bright ideas around how to optimize product marketing at Big FIsh.
  • A great communicator, with good presenting skills and a strong ability to build relationships with key partners across senior levels.
  • Flexibility, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in a changing business environment.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and writing skills.
