Senior Marketing Operations Manager - Remote

We are currently looking for a Senior Marketing Operations Manager to join the Designit team. Our world-class social team operates 100+ social media channels and 20+ marketing blogs designed for developers, IT decision makers, IT implementers, and business decision makers. Each month, we publish over 3,000 social posts to help, inform, entertain, and engage community members across the globe. Azure, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and SQL Server are just a few examples of the 170 innovative products and services that comprise the Cloud Marketing Blog and Social ecosystem.
The Senior Marketing Operations Manager oversees a team of ten social media content schedulers and channel governance managers. This team is responsible for reviewing requests for social amplification received from various teams, determining if these requests meet the editorial criteria set forth by our client, and using Sprinklr to schedule and provide quality assurance on all social posts across Cloud Marketing social channels. This leader plays a crucial part in our content distribution strategy and is looked upon to drive operational innovation and scale. The ideal candidate is strategic, solutions oriented, data-driven, and customer centric as a client partner, SME and team lead.
What You Will Do:
Partner with Microsoft Clients
- Direct regular documentation updates and process improvements
- Function as operational SME: establish, demonstrate, and share best practices with team
- Identify problems, proactively propose solutions and collaborate with Operations to implement scalable solutions that drive excellence and efficiency through the Programming and wider teams end-to-end processes
- Drive work direction, conduct check-ins as appropriate, and triage client requests
- Attend key stakeholder meetings
Team Lead and Subject Matter Expert:
- Act as a subject matter expert by internalizing the demographics, psychographics, and content needs of 15 distinct target audiences across social platforms: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Giphy etc.
- Manage content amplification by partnering with leads and other senior members of the team on key initiatives (e.g. to gather amplification requests and determine amplification priorities)
- Ensure thorough quality checks are performed on all social posts before they are published (e.g. variety of content categories on channels, publishing times, and adheres to accessibility standards
- Supporting key events and announcements with other team leads, including pre planning, editorial calendar management, escalations and livestream implementation
- Participate in weekly meeting with the Cloud Marketing Blog and Social Team; outline key content that will be amplified during the upcoming month
- Manage global/service outage communications and provide team guidance
- Leverage audience insights and business priorities to execute project management and strategize on the creation and retirement of social channels
- Oversee channel claiming process in partnership with Microsoft’s legal team and representatives from social platforms
Day to Day Team Oversight:
- Oversee onboarding, account setup, and training of new hires, including interview participation
- Manage team PTO coverage plans while balancing business continuity
- Manage day to day performance, support regular 1:1 meetings with direct reports, and escalations
- Raise performance issues to Designit Account, Delivery and/or Practice Teams
- Contribute to annual performance reviews and goal setting initiatives for all direct reports
- Contribute to weekly proactive team capacity reporting
What you bring:
- 6+ years in a client-facing role at a marketing agency or large corporate enterprise
- 1 – 2 years of experience in social content calendar management and execution, project management, social campaign management, or social reporting
- 2+ years of experience working with Fortune 100 clients
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management, or related field
- Proven track record of taking a strategic and deeply customer-minded approach to social media
- Advanced experience in Sprinklr
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
- Customer service experience preferred
