Come join the TurboTax Marketing Strategy Team as a Senior Marketing Manager.
We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to drive acquisition of simple tax filers in a way that is differentiated from the competition. This individual will be responsible for defining our short- and long-term strategy, developing go-to-market plans, and working cross-functionally to deliver exceptional marketing to increase consideration and ultimately market share within the simple tax filer market.
We're looking for a forward thinking, self-starter, who has solid experience translating consumer insights into powerful product and marketing experiences. This leader will be required to create strong partnerships with Advertising, Design, Analytics, Product Management, and Finance.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years professional experience in marketing or product marketing
- Bachelor degree required; MBA preferred
- Proven experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams to deliver amazing outcomes
- Solid written and verbal skills to communicate program objectives, recommendations, and results to senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated high levels of ownership, responsibility, initiative and the desire to drive significant, measurable performance results
- Track record of making principled, data-based business decisions balanced with experienced judgement
- Proven success in turning deep customer understanding into insightful market strategy and execution that drives strong business results
How you will lead
- Understand and analyze market opportunity, customer segments, competitors, and offerings to develop the business case for new features, services and offerings.
- Leverage customer insights, competitive understanding, and analytics data to unlock growth opportunities and influence product and messaging roadmaps; ensure we're applying the right level of strategic rigor in decision making
- Maintain a pulse on competitive messaging and experiences to ensure TurboTax is positioned as the category leader
- Develop a deep understanding of the product offering value proposition to create clear and differentiated messaging and experiences
- Develop clear messaging and creative briefs that translate customer insights into impactful benefits and reasons to believe
- Evaluate copy and creative execution and provide constructive feedback to design teams
- Leverage the appropriate learning strategies, including qualitative and quantitative consumer research and A/B testing to roll-out experiences and creative that deliver improved business outcomes
- Establish metrics for success and actively analyze business data to generate insights and make informed decisions that drive business results
