Senior Marketing Manager, Convergence
Summary
The Senior Marketing Manager, Convergence serves as the execution lead for Cox's converged product strategy across Internet/Wi-Fi and Wireless offerings. Supports the Director of Convergence by working closely with our Commercial Innovation, Strategic Planning, and Mobile teams to commercialize value propositions, aligned and prioritized with our overall convergence strategy. Ensures that as converged value props are brought to life, they remain consumer centric and are communicated in a way that is meaningful to our current connected customer base and attractive to new customer acquisition. This leader carries responsibility to mobilize these value propositions across a vast matrix of partners so that they are delivered consistently and in a compelling manner. Integrating converged value prop positioning with customer experience, go to market strategy, digital experience, post-sale engagement strategy.
Responsibilities
- Define and/or support defined value propositions and ensure that they come to life for consumers in compelling, clearly articulated, and competitive executions. This is accomplished by effectively partnering and influencing across the matrix.
- Develop a deep understanding of competitors' offers, market share, advertising and promotional strategies, distribution mix, sales channels, and unique market advantages and weaknesses.
- Identifies and translates analytical results into meaningful and insightful/actionable recommendations to influence business change. Leads the development of effective presentations and documents that clearly communicate results that align with business issues and challenges. Communicates complex information in a simple, clear, and concise way. Understands cross functional implementation issues and challenges.
- Utilizes existing internet and mobile customer segmentation and personas to inform campaigns and customer messaging.
- Serves as integrator and an inspirational thought leader to mobilize multiple internal teams to develop targeted converged product experiences including Product Development, Marketing Strategy, Pricing, Retention, Sales, Technology, Customer Experience, Digital Experience, Strategic Planning, Business Operations, Legal, Technology, etc.
- Informs and influences teams in the development of training for market-facing employees reflecting the converged go to market strategy and value proposition.
- Develops, monitors, and reports on feedback and success KPIs.
- Monitors developments within the industry, vendor community and technology trends, and considers these in light of product roadmaps
Requirements
Minimum
- BA/BS degree and 8 years related experience, OR Ph.D. and 3 years related experience in marketing management, product marketing, and customer experience OR MS degree and 6 years related experience OR High School Diploma/GED AND 12 years of related experience.
- Proven success supporting and partnering with matrix organizations in developing innovative, consumer-centric marketing programs that deliver company goals.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to present emerging ideas to senior level leadership and gain approval for investments.
- Advanced knowledge of leading practices in consumer-centric value proposition creation and behavioral engagement strategies.
- Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Experience managing project execution with an ability to establish course of action for self and others to ensure work is completed in an efficient and timely manner considering the strategies and goals of the department and organization.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. Must be able to convey information and ideas in a clear, meaningful and timely manner to ensure understanding, engagement, and mobilization; solicits input from audience to verify understanding and foster collaboration.
- Ability to adjust leadership style to relate and effectively influence all levels of the organization from supervisors to the President.
- Persistent leader that effectively handles conflict and pressure to achieve breakthrough; anticipates issues and concerns to develop creative approaches to address them.
