Hello! We'll start by introducing ourselves. We're Sendlane! A SaaS startup that's disrupting an entire industry by influencing the way people learn about and use email marketing automation. Established in 2015, we've grown year over year and that's been possible because we are constantly looking to out-do ourselves and evolve.

With our headquarters found in sunny San Diego, CA, our team's dedication to making Sendlane what it is today is humbling which is why we're looking for that next "special someone" to help take us to the next level. That's where you come in! Yes, you.

Listen, we get it. Job hunting is 100% THE worst. So, we're happy to tell you the search is over! You did it! You finally found the company of your dreams. Go ahead and give your boss "the finger", flip your desk, knock over your cubicle and march your happy self on over to Sendlane HQ! Just kiddingwe have to invite you. Please don't just show up.

Anyway, we are on the hunt for a Sr. Marketing Designer

In this cross-functional role, you'll be part of our growing Marketing team. Your main priority will be to optimize our brand by creating and implementing synergistic visuals and content that align with our vision for our corp site, blog, marketing and advertising efforts. Since your main focus is on the user experience, you should know our ideal customer profile and design our content in ways that drive conversation and nurture our reputation.

To be successful in this position, you must have at least 3-5 years of working experience with all or most of the following: Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Abstract (Webflow is a plus!). You also must have experience working in a B2B or SaaS environment and designing marketing collateral.

We're looking for a candidate whose portfolio illustrates a wide range of design projects, including but not limited to: website, email, content, print, social media, digital and other design initiatives. While it's not a requirement for this role, applicants with photography and/or filming + editing experience are encouraged to apply!

You obviously need to have an eye for layout, color theory, typography and various design styles. Taking little instruction and bringing the vision to life will be your North Star (truly, you can expect to receive silly scribbles on a notepad). But don't worry, you won't be an island. Our Marketing team is a small group of seriously creative people who want and encourage collaboration, so you'll always have a direction and vision assigned before getting thrown into any project.

Speaking of collaboration, that's a huge part of this job. We will always rely on you as the expert of your craft, but never expect to make executive decisions because that's not how we operate! A true ability to work with others whose opinions and visions might differ from your own is imperative. Collaboration doesn't mean we don't trust you. It's just the only way we believe our company will ever continue to succeed. We believe it takes a village. (This is also a nod to ego. Leave it at home, kid!) What's most important to us is that you're a team player with flexibility and an understanding that feedback isn't personal.

Sound like a fit so far? Excellent news!

Well, now that that's established, here's the bulleted skinny on the job, your core responsibilities and your day-to-day:

  • Must be comfortable using a Mac
  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing and CEO to optimize our brand and marketing collateral
  • Create and implement synergistic visuals for our corp site, emails, blog, marketing and advertising efforts, focusing on the user experience.
  • Coordinate, manage and design other marketing needs such as presentations, signage, brochures, and trade show collateral.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and develop wireframes, website assets and engaging, high conversion landing pages.
  • Either have experience with or be willing to learn Webflow.
  • Utilize Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Abstract and Webflow on a daily basis.
  • Be an expert in graphic design.
  • Be able to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Have the wherewithal to bring ideas to the table but also bring someone else's idea to life (i.e. look at something poorly created in Paint or scribbling on a notepad and turn it into something awesome)

Keep in mind: we are a start-up which means that your day to day is not usually the same. As we continue to grow, we find ourselves having to pivot quickly!

We strive to ensure that our employees have the best experience possible (while still remembering that you are here to do a job). COVID put a major damper on the fun we offer in-office but we've adjusted pretty well! Here's our benefits package:

  • Fully Remote
  • Health/Dental/Vision - 70% to 100% paid for by us (depends on the plan you pick).
  • Parental Leave - New parent? Congrats! Count on 6 weeks of leave, separate from our PTO policy!
  • 401k - Your future self will thank your current self for the investment (And we match up to 4%)
  • Flexible PTO - Take what you need when you need it.
  • We pay you to GO AWAY - $1000 bonus for taking time off!
  • Equity - If you're helping us build, we want you to have a piece!
  • Macbook and home office stipend!
  • Monthly remote team building and consistent team engagement (we won't force you to do Yoga with us but we will challenge you to do your best impression of the Spice Girls for $100)

Along with our benefits, you can expect an awesome work environment. You can count on having an incredible team of people who are all insanely hard-working (and absolutely HILARIOUS). We have, what we call, a "friends first" culture! That doesn't mean we're not getting work done nor does it mean we're getting too personal with one another. It simply means that our collaboration, communication and ability to work together is second to none because we have a solid understanding of the people we work with everyday and we actually enjoy it, too! And, to answer your question"yes", we have conducted entire conversations using only GIFs.

If this all sounds like your cup of tea then we definitely want to hear from you! Click that apply button.
