Bixal has an exciting opportunity to help accelerate digital transformation across the federal government to improve the public's experience with a range of government services. As a consultant to our federal clients, you will be part of a cross-functional team applying human-centered innovation and effective marketing communication strategies to improve digital civic engagement.
As a Senior Marketing Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing client communications strategies promoting engagement in agency programs and initiatives. You will design, execute and measure human-centered integrated marketing communication plans for external and internal customers and stakeholders. You will prepare a range of marketing and outreach materials including articles, memos, press releases, case studies, social media posts, email campaigns, reports, proposals and other marketing collateral and stakeholder communications. You will measure and analyze marketing campaign performance to make continuous improvements to communications strategies and effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead clients in defining marketing goals, objectives and outcomes.
- Plan, coordinate and execute multi-channel marketing, branding and promotion initiatives.
- Conduct audience analysis to inform marketing communications strategies.
- Design and develop marketing and communications collateral and templates to support ongoing marketing and communications efforts.
- Develop effective and consistent communications to support product marketing initiatives, including positioning, key messaging and branding.
- Coordinate review, release and distribution of marketing communications, including press releases, announcements, blog posts, social media updates, memos, flyers, emails.
- Work closely with graphic designers to develop materials including but not limited to engaging graphics for social media, newsletters, articles, and other promotional needs.
- Develop, manage, and monitor social media initiatives to maximize civic and stakeholder engagement.
- Define key metrics to evaluate performance and effectiveness of marketing communications initiatives.
- Analyze marketing campaign data, create reports on campaign outcomes, and recommend improvements to increase reach and engagement with target audiences.
- Assist with content development for new and existing marketing campaigns.
- Support digital marketing efforts across other channels (e.g., SEO and paid media).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field.
- 5+ years of experience developing and implementing integrated marketing communications strategies; 10 years total work experience required.
- Strong portfolio marketing communications plans and deliverables.
- Experience developing brand marketing strategies.
- Passion for creative and visual storytelling.
- Proven expertise at effectively advising clients on creative solutions to marketing and communication problems.
- Proficiency with analytics systems and tracking tools.
- Experience working with different social media platforms.
- Strong analytical skills including experience designing and providing regular analytics reports to inform marketing campaigns.
- Expertise in social, digital, print, and email marketing best practices in order to effectively reach target audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers, clients, senior management and other technical teams.
- Ability to create effective messaging and present ideas and information clearly.
