Job Description

Based within the Service Provider pillar at Informa Tech, we are looking for an exceptional Senior Marketing Associate to join our marketing team. The Senior Marketing Associate is responsible for converting audience prospects to free and paid delegates to physical, virtual, or hybrid events or a student to Training. The role will focus on the Service Provider/ Telecommunications Industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns for our events portfolio that delivers paid delegates and free attendees
  • Understand data practice and segmentation to create targeted campaigns
  • Adopt a test and learn approach to understand which channels are performing and optimizing marketing plans
  • Build a content strategy and plan for each event to engage, nurture and convert audiences
  • Deliver analysis and insight reporting from marketing metrics that help achieve ROI
  • Apply a digital first mindset to all campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement and conversion
  • Provide detailed weekly reporting for stakeholders on event registrations and event marketing performance
  • Manage and support sponsors with marketing assets
  • Source and manage media partners and associations to ensure they are maximizing our events marketing to their audiences
  • Manage event marketing budgets
  • Build good working relationships with key stakeholders: Sales, Production, Operation, Content, and VIP teams
  • Support the cross-pollination of audiences
  • Work with internal and external digital agencies to launch and optimize PPC and SEM campaigns
  • Responsible for retention/renewal programmes and retaining audience year-to-year
  • Develop a good understanding of all key systems, ensure best practices, continuous improvements, and driving efficiencies

Qualifications

  • Prior B2B Marketing events campaign experience
  • Experience of working with data platforms and segmentation strategies
  • Content Marketing experience
  • Digital marketing experience – SEO, Google Analytics and paid search
  • Experience with CMS platform
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Analytical & problem-solving capability
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to timescales
  • Proven ability to use initiative when required and go ‘above and beyond’ in order to deliver event attendee targets
  • Self-starter approach to work, with strong attention to detail

No existing knowledge of the telecommunications eco-system is required – just a desire to learn and get stuck in!
