Senior Market Strategy Manager
Gopuff is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Market Strategy team and play a crucial role in the future growth of the company. The Sr Market Strategy Manager will manage a team of 4-8 individuals. This team will take lead in identifying new areas for future growth through market and trade area analysis in a defined territory. This analysis will guide the real estate team on where to begin their search for suitable real estate.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team within a regional territory to guide real estate expansion plans and overall market strategy.
- Lead site analysis/sales model implementation for new and relocation opportunities.
- Scrutinize sites based on demographic, psychographic, competitive, and physical criteria
- Manager ensures that sites are competitively positioned and fit the overall
- New store or Relocation strategy. Sites are run through a financial pro-forma to additionally ensure they meet corporate financial hurdle rates.
- Responsible for strategic planning of potential new and relocation opportunities in assigned territory ensuring an adequate pipeline to meet corporate objectives.
- Leads internal consulting projects that require spatial analysis; Sample projects include Competitor Impact Analysis, Sales Transfer Analysis, Potential Real-Estate Acquisitions, New Market Cost Benefit Analysis, Regional Mapping, etc.
- Candidate will be responsible for collaborating cross functionally with Marketing, Operations, Driver Ops, GIS systems and multiple verticals to ensure transparency and feedback on expansion plans and timing.
- Responsible for market enhancement strategy for existing markets to ensure we maintain a profitable network of stores and can adjust to ever changing market conditions. All stores within a market are analyzed for current performance/profitability, real-estate characteristics, and competitive environment.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Geography, GIS or Business. Master’s in Geography preferred.
- Candidate will have a strong background in GIS and spatial models.
- 5+ years’ experience managing a team.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Spatial modeling and sales forecasting experience required.
- Candidate must have the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights.
