Role Summary
Cox Media is seeking leader for Senior Manager Field Support and Marketing for its YurView line of business. YurView is Cox Media's owned and operated video distribution platform. YurView produces and distributes programming of local interest on the YurView Channel which is available to Cox Communications cable customers and all others online.
The Senior Manager works collaboratively with YurView and Cox Media leaders to develop and implement YurView's Sales and Marketing strategy. This position will focus on the driving of revenue through the usage of all CLO content platforms and support for internal and external clients
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Sales

  • Demonstrate leadership and expertise in leading a diverse team in increasing Cox Media sales while implementing/partnering with the Market Manager in best practices for the Market regions.
  • Works with YurView Market Managers and Cox Media Leaders to develop scalable Local revenue growth strategies.
  • Collects, monitors and analyzes business and sales data.
  • Monitors business performance metrics, including year-over-year sales and other financial measures.
  • Works collaboratively with Market Managers to develop project and sales pipelines and create sales forecasts


Marketing

  • Partnering with CMI Sales/Marketing and YurView marketing teams to identify strategies to increase sales, market visibility, and grow client base.
  • Provides Marketing Leadership and guidance for YurView
  • Works collaboratively with CMI Marketing to develop and deliver against marketing strategies to support internal and external marketing for YurView
  • Captures and communicates marketing needs as identified by YurView Market Managers to the CMI Marketing team
  • Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications and manages changes to those requirements.
  • Defines and develops process / operations improvement recommendations.
  • Sets the long-term vision and direction for team projects.
  • Builds strong partnerships with departments including but not limited CMI/Cox marketing, Cox Business, Cox Media and Community Relations partnerships to drive revenue and support interdepartmental goals.
  • Ensures the widespread communication of lessons learned across the organization.
  • Analyzes organizational issues, determines the root cause and creates alternative solutions that are in the best interest of the business.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of techniques, roles and responsibilities used to provide technical, process or business guidance to clients, both internally and externally, and the ability to apply this knowledge appropriately in diverse situations. Able to understand client's / customer's objectives and project scope
  • Guides the team in setting specific and measurable short- and long-term goals
  • Manages department budgets, assigns work, and maintains standards of excellence in television operations.
  • Conveys opportunities, demonstrates benefits and inspires others to action.
  • Provides leadership, mentoring, development and coaching to Market Manager and Coordinator Staff


Qualifications
Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years' experience in a related field (Television Sales, Marketing).
  • The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience in a related field; or 12 years' experience in a related field no degree.
  • 3+ years' experience in management or leadership role
  • Requires strong knowledge of television, content creationg, rights negotiation and content marketing and promotions.
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, relationship management, leadership, negotiation, written, verbal, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization as well as external contacts


Preferred

  • Experience in telecommunications industry desired
  • Sales/Marketing experience preferred.


USD 105,700.00 - 176,100.00 per year
