Create meaningful, memorable and actionable enterprise-wide communications that inform and engage associates
ACCOUNTABILITIES
DEVELOP STRATEGIC CONTENT

• Creates internal communication strategies and content that connects to Kohl's company priorities by evaluating the business need, audience, timing and impact of message
• Contributes to the internal communications content calendar with an enterprise-wide focus to ensure associates are informed on key business initiatives
• Drafts communications using AP Style guidelines that leverage the appropriate content and tone
• Ghostwrites emails for Kohl's executive team
• Leverages analytics to guide content strategy and pivots plans as needed to ensure objectives are met and exceeded
• Aligns internal communications timing and content with other company communications where appropriate by creating strong relationships with internal and external communications teams

BUILD STRONG BUSINESS PARTNER RELATIONSHIPS

• Guides business partners on the appropriate communication vehicles, timing and message for their communications and ensure content is created and published in a timely manner
• Ensures awareness and alignment with business partners and senior leaders to key company communications and initiatives

SUPPORT COMMUNICATION COLLATERAL CREATION AND EXECUTION

• Creatively ideates with and give clear direction to video and graphic production partners
• Oversees processes and guidelines for the creative development of associate focused communication materials

RECOMMEND PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS TO ENHANCE ASSOCIATE ENGAGEMENT

• Monitors industry trends and recommend actions to improve and modernize communications
• Works with internal partners to evaluate processes to enhance team efficiency
• Trains new contributors on communication process and vehicles

QUALIFICATIONS
Required

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Communication, Journalism, Marketing
• 3-5 years of related experience
• Proven project management skills with the ability to multitask without sacrificing detail
• Effective prioritization and decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing, proofreading and editing communications focused on AP Style
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Solution-oriented problem solver
• Cross-functional collaborator

• Experience in a retail environment
