About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced marketing leader to run our regional marketing, events, and account-based marketing teams. As the Sr. Director of Global Region marketing, you’ll lead, develop, and scale these teams that drive targeted leads, pipeline, and revenue for our global regions. We've experienced tremendous growth over the last few years and this role will partner closely with our Regional Sales and Customer Success Leaders to continue to rapidly scale the business.
This role reports to the VP of Marketing for Udemy Business and will partner closely with the Global Demand Generation team, Product Marketing, and Customer Marketing.
This role will be based in our San Francisco HQ office in a hybrid model; in office 2-3 days a week.
About You
The Sr. Director of Region Marketing will be responsible for leading the teams that develop region-customized plans that drive strategic priorities, pipeline creation, and acceleration, helping the UB team to deliver on revenue targets for our Saas business. You have experience in a variety of marketing programs across multiple geographies and have delivered proven results from event, ABM, and localized demand generation programs.
You are extremely data-driven, are well-versed in Salesforce and Marketing technology tools, and will have a proven track record of using data to define growth strategies. You are a strong collaborator and partner for all go-to-market teams (sales, customer success, marketing operations, content strategy) and know how to influence and instigate priorities across leadership teams.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Lead and coach Regional Marketing teams that drive and monitor pipeline for their geographic areas. You’ll also be the key partner to our Americas Regional VPs and leaders across Sales & Customer Success.
- Develop and execute strategic localized marketing plans across the global regions
- Manage our Global Events and Global ABM teams that create the strategy used across all regions, and execute for our Americas region.
- Develop and guide teams to execute regional marketing strategies that span demand generation, ABM campaigns, webinars, virtual events, and other programs to support regional quarterly sales pipeline and revenue targets.
- Report on regional marketing performance so we know exactly what’s working, what’s not, and how we can best hit our goals. You’ll ensure we have detailed insight into all funnel metrics by region and the ROI across every channel that your team manages.
- Partner with global marketing teams on setting strategy, and leveraging globally integrated campaigns
- Collaborate with PR team to drive brand awareness by creating cohesive plans that integration with region strategies and plans
- Localize and re-purpose relevant marketing content from central teams in support of the CS and sales team enablement.
We're excited about you because you have:
- 12-15 years of B2B marketing experience in the SaaS space - driving region and territory-specific pipeline across events, account-based marketing (ABM), and demand generation programs
- 7-10 years of team management experience, with an ability to pivot between strategy, team brainstorming, and hands-on execution.
- Experience influencing stakeholders, driving alignment across functions, and building/managing a high-performance team.
- Experience working with B2B Saas sales and CS teams, and have a deep understanding of sales cycles and deal complexity
- A love of analytics and a proven track record of using data to find and scale profitable acquisition channels.
- The ability to take initiative, lead by example and achieve consistent results.
- Comfortable working with a distributed team across regions. Global experience is required and previous experience working in multiple countries is preferred.
- Experience with Marketing Technology tools and systems like Marketo, Google Analytics, Salesforce among others.
- Experience in onboarding and managing vendors and contractors
- Fluency in English, further language skills are a plus
