Senior Director, Partner Marketing
Coursera was launched in 2012 by two Stanford Computer Science professors, Andrew Ng and Daphne Koller, with a mission to provide universal access to world-class learning. At Coursera, our Marketing team is responsible for brand development, product marketing, PR, and acquisition and retention marketing for learners, enterprises, and university partners. We are looking for an experienced marketing leader with a passion for enabling and inspiring our university and industry partners and instructors to create world-class content for Coursera and to help build awareness for all of the great learning experiences we offer. You will do this by overseeing our communication and content strategy, building a high performance team, thought leadership program, and managing partner-facing programs that result in an increase in degree and certificate programs on our platform. As the Senior Director of Partner Marketing, you are responsible for developing the marketing strategy and go-to-market plans for our degree and certificate partner marketing efforts. You will partner with our Chief Content Officer and the global content and credentials team to achieve overall degree revenue targets by expanding degree and certificate offerings on the Coursera platform.
Responsibilities:
- Build and organize a global degree partner marketing teams to achieve business goals
- Define and implement an ABM strategy for a targeted list of existing and new partners
- Create a pipeline of quality opportunities for target degree and professional certificate programs
- Accelerate sales pipeline and increase win rate for each buying center stakeholder and region
- Activate dormant and increase existing partner engagement through regional campaigns and activities
- Manage marketing for partner-facing events, including Coursera’s annual Partners Conference, regional workshops, and the Coursera Council by developing content, core messaging and themes, and overseeing the event experience
Basic Qualifications:
- 15+ years experience working in business marketing, preferably at a higher education company, technology company, or as part of a university marketing team
- Experience in building high-performing marketing teams and history of building cross-functional relationships in a highly matrixed environment
- Experience in the higher education industry either at a platform, university or institution offering certification
- Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing an ABM strategy
- Marketing experience evidenced via program-driven, measurable outcomes
- Present to and collaborate with both senior execs and junior team members - can pivot style accordingly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Has built a high performing marketing team with deep expertise in higher ed marketing/sales at the institution and industry partner level
- Has industry expertise and a strong understanding of the global higher ed ecosystem, decision makers, influencers and the buying process
- Experienced in data-driven performance marketing and comfortable connecting plans to business outcomes in the form of leads and opportunities created
- Strategy driven execution mindset
- High operating tempo: Self-starter and ability to operate independently with grit and resilience
- Highly collaborative, a super communicator, low-ego, results and data-driven
