This position sits within our Virtual Learning Business, specifically in Pearson Online Learning Services (POLS), helping to support our various academic partner institutions in Higher Education.

Your role:

Under the direction of the VP, Performance Marketing, and in partnership with the Marketing & Enrollment teams, you will be accountable for leading the performance marketing campaign strategy and delivery across Pearson partners/clients to meet KPIs including:

  • Architect performance marketing campaign strategy, planning and budgets across the marketing mix to accelerate profitable growth efficiently.
  • Develop a talented team of campaign managers that lead campaigns for our higher-education partners to attract new learners.
  • Create and optimize integrated marketing campaigns using customer data and continuous experimentation across organic, paid, earned and owned tactics.
  • Lead both internal and external/agency talent in campaign planning, delivery, reporting, and optimization. Establish processes and procedures to ensure smooth information sharing across disciplines to speed time to market.
  • Using industry benchmarks, define targets for acquisition, spend, efficiency and throughput of new learners. Contribute to forecasting and performance reporting efforts to achieve maximum impact.
  • Collaborate with media, organic/SEO, creative and technology teams to engage learners meaningfully.


Your qualifications:

  • An advanced degree from an accredited institution
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role and preferably in a leadership position for 4+ years
  • 4 + years of account management and/or client lead across campaign strategy development, integrated planning, process creation/improvement.
  • 4+ years of people leadership experience with strong track record of developing talent.
  • Highly skilled at leading and influencing others in a constructive manner to build and sustain collaborative relationships to achieve business targets.
  • Expert in developing marketing campaigns to meet performance objectives across organic, paid and owned tactics using internal and external/agency teams.
  • A demonstrated ability to work remotely with minimal supervision (this is a remote-accessible position) under highly dynamic workloads with the ability to be highly effective while managing shifting internal expectations and priorities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders to drive action
  • Ability to work creatively, using a variety of resources with a track record of developing actionable recommendations from research data with a comfort level in using data to support or refute assumptions and recommendations
  • Passionate about staying up-to-date and engaged with industry expertise
  • Superior analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills to analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and present research and strategy
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communications skills effective with broad and diverse audiences


While this position is remote-eligible, it includes the potential of up to 20% travel. As such, candidate proximity to a major airport is preferred.

This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
