The mission of the Mobilization Team at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is to bring ordinary people into the heart of the DNC and provide Americans with encouragement, power, and tools to mobilize in their communities. 


The majority of DNC fundraising comes through grassroots channels, and because of the strength of that program, we’re able to organize in every state and territory across the country, through the state parties and from the grassroots. Position Summary: 


The Mobilization Team is looking for a Senior Digital Advertising Strategist to play a key role in supporting our digital advertising program and larger grassroots fundraising and supporter engagement strategy. This person will work closely with the Advertising team to help leverage paid media to maximize donor acquisition, fundraising, and brand lift at the DNC.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop digital advertising strategies to meet online fundraising and mobilization goals
  • Create strategic paid media plans; use data to articulate digital ad spend decisions and overall strategy
  • Write digital ad copy and work with the design and video teams to produce compelling creative
  • Traffic digital advertising campaigns and analyze ad campaign data in real-time to optimize live ads
  • Compile reports on immediate and long-term results of digital ad campaigns
  • Provide campaign reporting and analysis to internal stakeholders and manage vendor relationships
  • Work together with internal teams to anticipate advertising needs ahead of key moments; work with multiple departments at the DNC to get content approval
  • Train and provide feedback on junior staff’s work, growing their skill sets around writing, coding, and strategy
  • Collaborate with teams across the DNC to ensure all content is consistent with DNC messaging priorities
  • Perform other duties as needed

About You:

  • You have experience running digital ad campaigns using platforms like Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ads
  • You have experience working for an electoral campaign, advocacy organization, or non-profit organization
  • You are adept with Excel/Google Sheets, CRMs and fundraising platforms such as ActBlue, Action Network, ActionKit, or NGP
  • You have a strong attention to detail and data-driven analytical thinking
  • You have excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills; you should have an eagle-eye for typos and errors
  • You have a proven ability to work both individually and in teams in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects at once.
  • You have a deep understanding of the digital advertising landscape and curiosity about emerging digital trends
  • Able to work extended hours when needed/for rapid response moments
  • You must be in D.C. or be willing to relocate to the Washington, D.C. area

Salary: 

The starting salary for the Senior Digital Advertising Strategist position is $60,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is not eligible for overtime wages.
