The Senior Content Marketer is responsible for executing and managing content marketing strategy by directing the creation of a full range of compelling, differentiated content assets for multiple distribution channels including email and social channels. The incumbent in this role is accountable for increasing consumer awareness and preference on ChenMed services, driving key company initiatives that produce measurable results in attracting and converting prospects, as well as engaging and retaining patients. He/She maintains expertise in the healthcare industry, as well as in content marketing strategies, staying abreast of issues, trends and competitor strategies to identify content marketing opportunities.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designs and implements a content marketing strategy with a focus on attracting prospects and engaging patients via social, product app, website and email.
  • Plans, writes, edits and produces on-brand, high-quality, engaging short-and long-form content, including but not limited to emails, text-SMS, listicles, infographics, explainer videos, webinars and articles that advance business objectives.
  • Manage internal and external resources in the production of content including, but not limited to, engaging with SMEs, contractors, agencies, and vendors.
  • Collaborates with digital team to align on SEO strategy to attract key prospects to our owned assets (e.g., website).
  • Designs and implements a systematic content marketing promotion process that appropriately utilizes all paid, owned and shared channels, ensuring maximum reach and exposure for each effort.
  • Partners with the Social Marketing team to maintain and manage assigned social platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, etc.) and campaigns, address/triage social media comments, concerns and issues, and drive social engagement.
  • Partners with the Digital Marketing team to build automated marketing journeys within cloud-based marketing software.
  • Creates and manages a content marketing calendar that accommodates patient and prospect communication, event promotion and other needs, as well as dovetails with other marketing and PR efforts.
  • Collaborates with SMEs throughout the company to encourage the ongoing flow of content ideas that are in-line with strategy and ensures the content marketing strategy stays aligned with business goals.
  • Develops KPIs, reports and iterates on performance with a strong emphasis on testing and learning, driving increased traffic and engagement through the sales funnel.
  • Collaborates with the broader marketing team to build plans for testing new content marketing channels.
  • Identifies and applies new emerging content types and channels to continuously evolve the content marketing strategy.
  • Applies universal voice to all communications to ensure all patient and prospect communications are brand-right and at a 5th grade reading level.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion.

  • Storyteller, editor, strategist and specialist, who feels equally comfortable editing posts, developing new content ideas and determining distribution strategies
  • Takes initiative and is self-directed and is also a pro at collaborating with multiple leaders
  • Data-driven creative leader with a strong narrative backbone and a knack for creating dynamic, culturally relevant experiences
  • Proven history of writing and creating successful content
  • Clear, confident and compelling writing style
  • Curiosity and high aptitude for learning and experimenting
  • Ability to lead complex initiatives in a demanding environment and drive flawless, on-time execution
  • Ability to thrive in challenging environments and can roll up his/her sleeves to build, deploy, and launch content initiatives quickly while also ensuring quality and complying with brand guidelines
  • Ability to work effectively with a broad spectrum of both internal team members and external vendors/partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, plus a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, and presentation software
  • Spoken and written fluency in English required
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationwide up to 10% of the time
  • This job requires use and exercise of independent judgement

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communication or a closely related field required OR additional experience above the minimum may be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis
  • A minimum of 3 years of direct, hands-on experience developing content strategies, managing content calendar, and producing and writing a variety of content required
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Salesforce desired
  • Experience in deploying targeted personalized communications/lists, building journeys and executing campaigns in marketing automation systems preferred
  • Experience with data analytic tools preferred
  • Experience with design editing tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva preferred
  • Experience with Social Media management tools such as Hootsuite and LaterGram preferred
  • Healthcare communication/marketing experience preferred
