Cox Media is seeking a creative and enthusiastic professional for a Sr. Business to Consumer Marketing Communications Specialist role to support our YurView product. YurView is Cox Media's owned and operated video distribution platform. YurView produces and distributes programming of local interest on the YurView Channel which is available to Cox Communications cable customers and all others online.
The YurView Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, programs, and materials for Cox Media's local origination network YurView. This role is also responsible for all consumer-focused YurView promotional tactics designed to drive consumption of YurView content across all platforms. Including website posts, social media, :30 promos, and short-form videos. Will occasionally help with sales collateral and assets utilized by local markets to integrate YurView into advertising campaigns with an end goal of attracting new clients, growing total advertising spend with existing clients, and reducing overall client churn. Serves as the resident expert on YurView product positioning, social media presence, and brand integrity.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Works with YurView Marketing Manager and YurView Product Director to execute consumer-focused promotional strategies and tactics that drive YurView content consumption across platforms.
  • Creates and delivers promo traffic for video and web ads to sales service team.
  • Collaborates with YurView Marketing Manager, vendors, and internal creative teams to create thirty second and short-form videos that promote YurView programming and viewer engagement.
  • Evaluates performance of YurView promotional campaigns and social media channels through reporting and metrics and provides high-level insights on all YurView promotional campaigns and social media engagement.
  • Collaborates with YurView Marketing Manager on YurView content newsletter strategy and creates and maintains B2C focused email newsletters and forms to build YurView audience.
  • Is responsible for all B2C focused YurView social media content, including copy, designing creative and posting on all social media channels where YurView national brand has a presence.
  • Is responsible for monitoring and replying on all B2C focused social media channels.
  • Places all YurView brand promotional ads across social media or digital ad channels.
  • Collaborates with YurView Marketing Manager for strategic planning and is responsible for execution of audience building tactics across social media channels.
  • Collaborates with YurView Programming and Content team to identify programming priorities for promotional campaigns.
  • Serves as resident expert on best practices for YurView in social media and helps define what content gets placed in different YurView channels.
  • Writes blogs/articles for yurview.com to pull inbound traffic and create more engagement with the brand or promote upcoming programming.


Qualifications
Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field.
  • The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years' experience in a related field.
  • Requires strong knowledge of social media content creation and management, PowerPoint, and excellent copy-writing skills.
  • Proven ability to write effective advertising and digital copy, developing campaigns and execution.
  • Proven ability to convey ideas and build engagement through written copy and video messages.
  • Strong ability to work across departmental boundaries to drive toward common goals.
  • Proven ability to develop detailed work plans and execute under pressure. Must be able to work independently and deliver measurable results.
  • Must be a team-player and thrive in an environment that promotes strong individual skills that are easily applied to goals of the team and company.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced and sometime ambiguous environment, complete multiple tasks at one time, meet deadlines and self-recognize and adapt to priorities that change often.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization, detail, problem-solving and follow-up skills. Exudes a professional image inside and outside the company.
  • Ability to build and maintain constructive partnerships with diverse group of internal and external work groups.
  • Shows commitment to self-development by demonstrated desire to learn new ways of doing business, staying abreast of competitors/industry major initiatives.
  • Ability to influence people that don't report into the position.
  • Strategic analysis and planning experience.
  • Willingness to travel by car and/or air as needed.
  • PC skills required, including strong working knowledge of all MS products.


Preferred

  • BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e., Marketing, Advertising, Business, etc.).
  • Experience in B2B and consumer product marketing


USD 70,000.00 - 105,000.00 per year
