Responsibilities

The Sr. B2B Marketing Demand Generation Strategist will be responsible for delivering high caliber strategies in a product marketing discipline for the full lifecycle management of all of OPPD's B2B products and/or programs. This usually involves but is not limited to: evaluating customer needs, creating and influencing design that will address those needs and working with the teams who actually build the product to ensure that it meets the intended acquisition and retention goals. These products and programs would include OPPD's highest risk opportunities that typically include innovative and emerging industry transformations that OPPD will leverage to lead the way we power the future.
Accountable for the leadership, strategy, and execution of all activities related to developing a market strategy, testing strategies/creative, launching products, and ongoing campaigns to help Business & Commercial products/programs meet their goals. Assigned to both the most complex products and programs and products & programs in a run-state.

  • Identify market opportunities and define product marketing vision and strategy. Develop and maintain an 18-month marketing roadmap of established initiatives, launches, and campaigns
  • Manages products through their entire marketing life cycle and supports decisions regarding enhancements throughout the lifecycle until product end of life or re-innovation
  • Understand customer needs, working with the product team to gather product requirements and provide simple benefit interpretation for our customers.
  • Write detailed market strategies, launch plans, and campaign plans including persona and segmented approaches to deliver a one-to-one engagement experience for OPPD business & commercial customers.
  • Coordinate with marketing operations professionals to deliver campaigns in an omni/multi-channel environment.
  • Oversee the marketing performance reporting throughout lifecycle of business/commercial campaigns including above the funnel (lead generation) and in the funnel (lead nurturing) metrics
  • Leads program and product branding updates for existing and new business/commercial programs and products.

Develop and maintain subject matter expertise with regard to business/commercial customer products and programs.

  • Keep abreast of the evolving needs and participation drivers of customers, perceived value/willingness to pay, and competitor/industry marketing program and product offers and solutions
  • Be market facing at events and with affiliate channels, while also being the internal SME for marketing on the products you support
  • Develop knowledge of assigned product specifics/metrics (ROI for budgeting/campaigns, client's willingness to participate, market size, market segments, etc) to determine product marketing priorities, areas of focus, resource allocation, and product portfolio success
  • Develop a deep understanding of how assigned products and solutions fulfill customer needs. Represent the voice of the customer through educational marketing and acquisition campaigns.
  • Assess the market landscape to identify marketing opportunities and gaps, threats, and strategic opportunities.
  • Facilitate and lead the identification, selection and ongoing relationship management of contracted vendors.
  • Support RFP processes for agency vendors as well as hardware/software/data requirements.
  • Monitor vendor partners for adherence to be agreed upon terms between OPPD and the vendor.

Collaborate effectively across the business units and OPPD stakeholders to ensure marketing strategies and campaign designs align with overarching business strategies and product/program objectives.

  • Responsible for product marketing performance with developed targets for business/commercial products on above the funnel, in the funnel, and ultimately participation.
  • Identifies and influences market trends and opportunities to achieve goals.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including product development, customer experience and design, business technology, Customer Care, Customer Sales & Service, and OPPD business leads to drive product marketing strategy performance, roadmaps, and execution.
  • Collaborate closely with product development to guide and develop the ideal content and competitive positioning.
  • Work closely with product development team and corporate communications to effectively communicate upcoming releases (what, when, how to use) to internal and external teams (end users, channel partners, internal support teams).
  • Engage closely with customer facing team(s) to help determine the best customer experience and message delivery methods as well as a reasonable implementation schedule.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Seven (7) years of experience in a Business to Business Marketing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong business analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent business facing products.
  • Proven ability to innovate and come up with ideas and strategies to help drive products/programs forward.
