  • The Consumer Bank Acquisition team is responsible for driving incremental customer growth for the Consumer Bank (CB) through deposit account shopping, account opening and acquisition marketing strategies. One of the most important initiatives for CB is the rapid expansion of online shopping experiences to help one million people open low-cost checking or savings accounts. The strategy lead will help build trust to meet the needs of underbanked households as well as those new to traditional banking (e.g., students, etc.). To support this strategic initiative, we are seeking to grow our team with a talented, data-driven marketing leader focused on re-imagining and optimizing our deposit marketplace for this segment. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and strategies to scale online account volume, and expand access to traditional banking by managing and prioritizing various initiatives. This is a highly-visible strategic role with significant interaction with cross-functional teams and leaders across the firm.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop strategy for and lead digital initiatives in support of new deposit account and customer acquisition by improving shopping experiences, increasing traffic and conversion. Key initiatives include:
    • Obtain deep understanding of the needs of underbanked customers as well as those new to traditional banking
    • Develop and implement cohesive marketing campaigns across owned media channels to improve conversion and maximize value
    • Develop landing page strategies that improve performance
    • Optimizing product page navigation and the digital marketplace ecosystem
    • Re-imagine the shopping experience and leverage personalization, shopping cart, and 'better together' recommendations to drive multi-product origination
    • Develop, prioritize, and oversee best-in-class test and learn roadmap to drive measurable improvements
    • Manage and aggressively grow recapture program to acquire abandoned customer
  • Be a customer advocate - champion consistent and seamless user experiences across all assets and channels with a focus on underbanked customers
  • Partner with Analytics and Digital teams to understand end-to-end digital performance - across traffic, engagement, conversion and account/customer quality metrics
  • Partner with an indirect cross-functional team (Program Managers, Analytics, Digital, Direct Marketing and Technology/Product) in support of digital conversion opportunities - staying focused on scale and profitability while minimizing operational complexity.

Additional requirements:

  • 2+ years of marketing experience with expertise in digital conversion strategies and innovation, especially within web channels
  • Financial services industry experience a plus
  • Excels at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously within tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and planning skills
  • Develops strong partnerships; recognized as a team player
  • Proven ability to take initiative, influence others, and achieve results
  • Skilled and comfortable at working in a highly matrixed organization
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills; highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • 4-year college degree preferred
