Who Are You?

As the SEM (Search Engine Marketing) Manager on our Performance Marketing Team, you have a passion for acquisition and engagement using paid social channels.  You have experience managing and adhering to budgets and focusing on acquisition metrics such as ROAS, CPA, CPA, and LTV in a variety of paid search marketing channels such as Google and Bing.  You have a relentless focus on testing and are constantly looking for opportunities to test and learn.  You are a strong cross-functional collaborator who partners with our Analytics, Brand, Creative, and Copy departments to create stellar ads and to optimize our existing ad campaigns. You take initiative, love to get your hands dirty and optimize ads, and can make thoughtful recommendations on the paid search budget, overall strategy to maximize ROI, drive traffic, and acquire new customers.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own the Paid Social strategy, management, execution, optimization, and reporting for larger integrated marketing campaigns, with an emphasis on Google and Bing.
  • Track and optimize performance, with a focus on scale and testing across the audience, channel, and messaging variables
  • Design and execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns 
  • Manage campaign expenses of specific platforms, stay on budget, estimate monthly costs, and reconcile discrepancies
  • Have a strong POV on Paid search opportunities and make data-driven recommendations on new approaches, ad campaigns, or technical enhancements
  • Partner with creative to ideate and launch new ads that stay within our brand guidelines but will drive engagement and purchases.
  • Develop strategies on copy and landing pages to increase conversion. 
  • Research and analyze competitor advertising campaigns and communicate to relevant stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Analytics, Brand, Product, and Creative to execute full-funnel campaigns in support of awareness, consideration, conversion, and pipeline.


Job Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Paid search advertising experience, including a history of creating and executing SEM strategies across multiple paid platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of paid search and display strategies, operations, and campaigns including tools such as Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Segment, Amplitude, SEMrush, YouTube, and Google Tag Manager. 
  • Support the management and trafficking of SEM Display/Programmatic and video campaigns, across multiple platforms, including Google Ad Manager, Bing, Search Ads 360, Adobe Analytics, Verizon, DV360, and YouTube - from planning & execution to analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Reddit is a big plus.
  • Ecommerce and/or SaaS experience in a high-growth environment is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong quantitative skills - very comfortable with analytics and A/B testing, including understanding nuances of the platforms around testing approaches.  Must be comfortable in Excel and able to get up to speed in other reporting platforms. 
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with a knack for being able to pivot seamlessly while staying focused.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work productively cross-functionally and to engage in collaborative thinking among teams.
  • Intellectual curiosity and strong critical thinking and business acumen skills.
