Overview:

The role of Consultant - Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Operations team with building, deploying, and reporting on emails and journeys in support of business objectives. This includes working with a diverse set of business, agency, and IT stakeholders and ensuring campaigns are executed on time and with high quality. Strong communication and time management skills will be essential.

Additionally, in this role you will be empowered to identify opportunities for improvement and new capabilities and approaches to drive enhanced business value from within the Marketing Operations team. Helping guide and achieve milestones as we mature on our Martech roadmap to drive exceptional employee and customer experiences present a tremendous opportunity for growth and high-visibility recognition in this crucial role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Configure and set up Marketing Cloud products, including, but not limited to, Email Studio, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder, Contact Builder, and Mobile Studio
  • Execute day-to-day marketing operations such as campaign set-up, segmentation, and scheduling to ensure accuracy and timeliness of email campaigns
  • Ensure email and SMS communications comply with all local, state, and federal laws, including, but not limited to, TCPA and CAN-SPAM compliance
  • Own, build, manage, and prioritize tasks and enhancements within our Marketing Cloud roadmap
  • Assist in contributing to Salesforce Marketing Cloud solution architecture and recommendations
  • Assist in the training of new users; provide ongoing user support as the primary point of contact; drive adoption; and grow the Marketing Cloud skill set across the organization
  • Assist with the creation and troubleshooting of email templates and CloudPages
  • Create and maintain subscriber lists, data extensions, segmentation groups, and email tracking
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity
  • Manage Marketing Cloud Connect and integrations with Salesforce and other external systems
  • Conduct QA tests on journeys, integrations, and other changes within Marketing Cloud
  • Gather, define, and document business requirements; align on project definitions; and troubleshoot production issues
  • Maintain documentation of all journeys, emails, queries, Data Extensions, and automations for easy reference, review, and troubleshooting
  • Perform administrator functions such as user management, profile configuration, data management, and more
  • Proactively review Salesforce Marketing Cloud releases, evaluate new features as they are deployed, and maintain knowledge of best practices and implementation strategies


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud products, including Email Studio, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder, and Contact Builder
  • Experience with Mobile Studio preferred
  • 2 years of experience with Salesforce (CRM) administration and configuration preferred
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud Connect and integration with other systems preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in HTML, CSS, and AMPscript desirable
  • SQL knowledge preferred
  • Experience in translating business requirements into data-driven solutions, using a variety of Marketing Cloud products, including, but not limited to, automations, API integrations, dynamic content using AMPscript, and cross-channel journeys
  • Able to leverage a highly technical mindset with a creative and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments, teams, and business units
  • Ability to provide instruction to audiences of varying technical abilities
  • Ability to effectively manage schedules and projects, and meet deadlines for time-sensitive work
  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud-related credentials preferred


Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

College degree and 5-7 years professional level experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience; or 9 years professional level related experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
