Tonkean is the OS for business operations, transforming operations teams from facilitators into makers with an enterprise-grade, no-code process orchestration platform. By abstracting the technical knowledge required to automate, monitor, and manage mission-critical business processes, Tonkean enables enterprises to drive operational efficiency while reducing technical debt.

Tonkean builds a bridge between business and IT, allowing IT to partner with business teams to drive agility while ensuring compliance & security. Using Tonkean, IT can create custom, reusable action blocks called "enterprise components" that enable key capabilities like updating data in existing systems, interacting with people, or deploying NLP & OCR technology. These components can then be shared securely with business operations teams, in a no-code studio, to orchestrate business processes across functions and systems by adding business logic. Business operations teams can become more self-sufficient, and IT teams can scale with confidence.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Tonkean is on a mission to make a world of makers, empowering people who have the drive to leverage technology to transform the way their teams and enterprises work. We are looking for a driven and curious storyteller to lead our Public Relations efforts and help build a following and enthusiasm around a new enterprise software category in the low-code/no-code and automation market.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

• Work with the marketing team and executive leadership to craft a compelling story around the power of a new software category in “composable software.”
• Own and drive Tonkean's media relations strategy.
• Develop and manage relationships with reporters in leading publications in technology, business, and specific verticals/functions.
• Execute on a PR strategy to help build awareness, brand, and thought leadership for Tonkean.
• Work with content marketing to draft press releases, fact sheets, biographies, magazine articles, pitches, whitepapers, case studies.
• Respond to requests for information from investors, blog readers or the public.
• Arrange interviews, panel discussions, speakership opportunities, networking events, etc. for the CEO and business leadership to promote Tonkean and the overall category.

ABOUT YOU

• 5+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or a similar field.
• BA/BS required
• Passion for the Tonkean mission and impact of enterprise technology.
• Natural ability for building compelling stories that drive action.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make things happen.
• Familiarity with communication practices and techniques in the high-tech field.
• Expertise in managing social media is a plus.
