As virtually every industry continues to undergo digital transformation cybersecurity becomes more and more important. The industry, and Palo Alto Networks, is growing rapidly and we need great people who can jump in, grab hold and move fast!
Cybersecurity changes fast and we not only keep up, we lead! Our customers turn to us because we are creating a complete set of cybersecurity products that help them secure their network/cloud and run their security operations. We are constantly innovating and tapping the latest technologies such as machine learning, data science and whatever else it takes to keep our customers secure and respond to threats.
Your Impact
We’re looking for someone who can not only understand complex and technical products & features but can also translate them into compelling understandable stories—and get others excited about those stories.
As part of the Global Communications team, you’ll be a primary point of contact with marketing, engineering, threat response, and sales leaders across the organization to craft the PR narrative around our products and services. Then you’ll get the technology and business media interested in these stories and build a bridge between them and our leaders.
You will work with the team on media relations and product promotion for network security, cloud security and security operations products.

Qualifications
Your Experience
5 + Years experience in technology public relations/media relations
Strong technical background or understanding—especially in cybersecurity operations and threat response.
Know what makes a good news story and be very familiar with the technology and business press
Ability to craft compelling narratives from technical features
Be skilled at getting others excited about a story
Understand how to adapt the style and tone of communications according to the situation
Experienced with creating PR and communications plans
Experience managing projects and issues with multiple stakeholders
Diving into a large organization to find the people and resources needed to get a project completed
Be savvy at managing up and sideways to move a project forward, pass roadblocks and finish on time--while building relationships with co-workers and senior leadership
Be seen as the go-to partner and point of contact for executives
Be comfortable navigating through ambiguity
