DISQO is changing the way that the world’s largest brands, agencies and consumer intelligence companies get to know their consumers. We’ve built the first identity-based platform that combines consumer attitudes and behaviors together to power the most accurate and predictive insights solutions for our customers, and we do all of that with the willing participation of our consumers and without using outdated technologies like third-party cookies. We help our customers get a cross-platform view into consumer sentiment, measure advertising effectiveness, analyze consumer purchase journeys, and ultimately grow their brands.

Our mission at DISQO is to engage people to share their opinions and behaviors openly to help our customers make the right decisions. With over one million active members sharing their attitudes and behaviors, DISQO is looking to expand, improve and create world-class applications for people to openly share their data for research.

We are seeking an experienced Public Relations and Communications Senior Associate to support our growing, fast-paced company. Supporting both our B2B and B2C brands, this is a well-rounded role that includes corporate and consumer communications, storytelling across earned, owned and paid media, and extensive collaboration with marketing, product and data science teams. Data is at the heart of our business and DISQO’s storytelling, and the person in this role will play a big part in this.

Earned media prowess is core to this role. Understanding the elements required to bring a story to life across channels, verticals and audiences is key. And the ability to be nimble and agile in the always-changing, fast-moving startup environment is imperative.

You are eager to learn, absorb and develop new skills. You think strategically, creatively and holistically about programs. You’re a relentless problem-solver. You understand the importance of the team dynamic and are a dedicated and accountable team member.

You not only have experience in media relations but a passion for the craft. You have an insatiable appetite for news and content, consuming media across verticals and channels with an always-on mindset for spotting trends, and new storytelling angles and avenues.

You expertly navigate the evolving news landscape and foster mutually beneficial relationships with members of the press. You take great pride in the placements you secure and you effectively evaluate the coverage and merchandise back to the team.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Develop and manage media relations programs for multiple verticals, identifying media targets, developing compelling pitches, conducting outreach, coordinating interviews and maintaining editorial relationships ongoing
  • Verticals include trade (marketing and research), business, technology, personal finance, and lifestyle
  • Research, write, and edit press releases, fact sheets, message tracks, editor briefings and Q&A documents
  • Generate and maintain media lists and news coverage trackers

  • Support press events, seminars, speakers’ bureau, and other special events
  • Contribute to creation of integrated communications plans that meet objectives (media relations, digital and social media marketing, influencer relations, etc.)
  • Develop ideas and questionnaires for attitudinal research; analyze and summarize study results in press materials, blog articles, graphics, etc.
  • Synthesize data to develop key insights for use in marketing content and program measurement
  • Build relationships with partner and vendor contacts and manage correspondence
  • Practice effective project management while working with other team members and understand the “big picture” of the program
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete them on time
  • Live DISQO’s values and make a positive contribution to our company’s culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations or related communications field
  • At least 4 years PR/Media Relations experience; agency experience preferred
  • Excellent writing skills, demonstrated experience crafting newsworthy pitches, releases, blogs, bylines and social media posts
  • Proven success in building relationships with members of the media, and driving results
