Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Manager of Marketing Planning and Communications to join our Marketing Operations organization and work closely with our VP of Revenue Marketing. The ideal candidate has a strong project/program management background, can provide critical strategic plans, prioritization, and executive-level presentations, as well as help us build out a project management framework for our marketing leaders and teams.
Reporting into the Head of Global Marketing Operations, you will also partner with the VP of Revenue Marketing and our Chief Revenue Officer to promote interlock with global marketing, sales, and finance. You will help execute marketing strategy by facilitating a best-in-class marketing planning process that aligns with business objectives and develops operational excellence. Additionally, you will build the program and project management acumen of the organization through training, enablement, and skill development.
In this role, you will provide strategic support, manage planning cycles, regular business updates to the CEO and/or our board, ensure continued optimization of our marketing plans and work with our analytics teams to ensure consistent reporting of marketing activities and business impact. The ability to track and trace requirements from scope to delivery, report on progress and guide key business conversations and decisions in support of on time delivery while maintaining a high bar for quality is key.
Responsibilities
- Establish a regular operating cadence with cross-functional teams to track, communicate, and drive towards set program goals and KPIs. Identify key roadblocks to progress, and work efficiently to remove them
- Prepare executive reports and contribute to recurring status updates, cross-functional presentations, and provide key inputs into recurring leadership updates
- Partner with the Sr Manager, Data Strategy & Insights to build and maintain rhythm of business dashboards, metrics and run metrics/business calls to ensure marketing is meeting goals
- Independently manage large scale cross-functional programs by developing detailed project plans with activity-based milestones
- Support stakeholders with change management practices on key initiatives
- Create and facilitate regular cross-functional internal communications
- Develop trusted partnerships with all internal stakeholders to help build strategies and action plans
Qualifications
- 7+ years of program management or planning experience preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in Marketing, a Marketing Operations or Revenue Operations Environment is preferred
- Familiarity with project management tools & technologies, Asana preferred
- Basic familiarity with Marketing Automation tools, the MarTech ecosystem and Marketing Data and Analytics
- Detail orientated with a rigor for adhering to Project Management Best Practices, Agile scrum preferred
- Experience in owning and managing a backlog, defining complex technical scopes from high level business requirements, and creating well-structured clear user stories is required
- Experience interacting with and driving engagement with C-suite and above, high focus on strategizing thoughtful storytelling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Strong business acumen
