Secureworks' Cybersecurity/Product PR Manager will lead the company's strategic engagements with target media to promote the company's solutions, capabilities and expertise and support the company's brand, reputation, and demand generation. This leader is responsible for developing and executing the company's product PR plan including awards and media relations programs and engagements that advance Secureworks' position as a cybersecurity software and XDR leader. This professional works closely and in partnership with the company's Counter Threat Intelligence Unit, Product Marketing and Product Management teams to position Secureworks' threat intelligence insights and software capabilities. This professional also monitors the news and competitive landscape to anticipate issues and identify opportunities to engage reporters and develops response strategies as appropriate.

Role Responsibilities

• Developing, managing, and measuring Secureworks' product PR and visibility strategy including product reviews and awards
• Identifying news opportunities and pitching feature coverage that showcases Secureworks thought leadership and software differentiation in protecting and securing organizations
• Developing product launch press strategies and writing/managing product press releases
• Managing Product Reviews with targeted cybersecurity media
• Management of product and industry awards program including nomination submission and promotion
• Amplifying coverage via internal channels and promote on Secureworks.com and social media in partnership with the Marketing team
• Measurement and reporting for PR team

Minimum Requirements

• Cybersecurity experience is required
• Enterprise product and/or software PR experience is required
• 12+ years of PR/Media Relations experience and established relationships with business, IT and cybersecurity outlets and reporters
• Journalism background: proficient, experienced AP-style writer

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree/Master's degree with 5-8 years' experience, or 10+ years of related equivalent experience
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Results driven: Proven success pitching feature coverage
• Ability to work in a team environment, influence others to achieve results and to manage in a matrix environment
• Strong technical aptitude. Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables
