Product Marketing Specialist

In this role, you will define, plan, and ensure the implementation of product marketing strategies for Motor starting (Contactors, Motor protectors, Overload relays) in the United States, meeting business targets and aligning with global product strategy. You will oversee all sales and marketing activities and events to drive sales and increase market share.

Your responsibilities

  • Developing and executing the annual marketing plan with Product Group Motor Starting & Safety sales leaders, focusing on business development in US
  • Coordinating market studies with the Product Marketing and Sales team, defining appropriate forecasts and business/marketing plans for the motor starting portfolio assigned
  • Product Management: Collaborates with division Global Product Managers and Local Product Marketing Managers on local standards, and installation norms to ensure local product market acceptance and ensure master data is up to date, inclusive of price, packaging, performance characteristics, etc.
  • Work with the global application team to develop UL centric contents to boost the demand creation for the Motor Starting portfolio
  • Define the stock profiling for the products in the portfolio and work with the operation team to keep it up to date in changing market conditions
  • Delivering product information, providing training (technical and sales) for the sales team, and driving sales efficiency

Your background

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Marketing or in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical products management or sales.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of marketing and sales strategy.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong written and spoken communication skills, as well as relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Ability to travel (US) up to 30%.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
