Group/Division
The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

The product marketing manager (PMM) will be a key business driver for our benchtop product lines. The benchtop products are a diverse group of technologies and markets. The new hire will support development of new products, sustaining support for existing products, pre/post sale support, and product promotion. You will develop the strategy and tactics to grow the business, so we are the preferred solution for our customers. You will collaborate with all aspects of the organization, including engineering, operations, applications, sales, and service. The PMM will be based at KLA's headquarters in Milpitas, California.
The position requires the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps and drive the product group to meet strategic goals for KLA Instruments.
  • Develop the messaging and communicate that product strategy to the key partners in the organization: sales, application, indirect channel partners, and engineering in a matrixed organization across a global network.
  • Develop the needed collateral, digital content, and technical content to support the business
  • The PMM position is business owner for your product lines having responsibility over annual booking targets, regional growth, market adoption and penetration for key market segments defining priorities for the applications team as well as being the subject matter authority to the sales teams.
  • Maintain the "competitor" knowledge base for both direct and indirect technologies to support immediate sales opportunities as well as redirect that information into the strategic decisions driving product roadmap to ensure KLA Instruments stays relevant to our customers.

Preferred Qualifications

The benchtop PMM role is for those with 3 or more years' experience in the semiconductor or a related technology fields wanting a results-oriented role managing a dynamic and diverse international business. Having a working understanding in measurement instrumentation, such as interferometry, sheet resistance, reflectometry, stylus profilometry, general microscopy, and/or related optical profiling techniques is required. Experience in other imaging technologies, measurement instrumentation and product application development is a desirable for being successful in the new role.

Excellent technical written and oral communication skills are required. Travel is an important part of the position willing and you should be able to travel within the US and internationally, with the expectation of travel between 25 to 50% for select periods of time. You are authorized to work in the US.

Education requirements are a BS, MS, or PhD in Optics, Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields; or experience in product marketing in a very technical field having a BA or higher level degree demonstrating your ability to learn what is needed for the job.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's Level Degree or work experience of 4 years , Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 5 years
