Product Marketing Manager
About Us
At SimplePractice, we’re changing the face of health and wellness through innovative solutions that simplify the life of health and wellness practitioners. Think your neighborhood therapist, nutritionist, speech language pathologist, or massage therapist—the small business owners who dedicate their careers to helping others. Our solution provides them with an all-in-one platform to manage their practice and with the tools and resources to thrive as a practitioner and business owner. Our recent launch of Monarch (MeetMonarch.com)—a national directory with thousands of therapists offering online appointment requests—offers an easy way for consumers to access and book a therapist who meets their criteria.
The Role
SimplePractice is seeking a Product Marketing Manager with an entrepreneurial drive who’s empowered by our mission to help private practice owners in the health and wellness industry manage and run their businesses. You will own the delivery of new features to market by collaborating with cross-functional groups from ideation to adoption. You must be comfortable in a fast-paced, non-sprint planning environment—we develop fast, and that means you need to too!
You’ll take the time to deeply understand our practitioner audience—who they are, what they do, and how they do it. You will dig in and become an expert in how the SimplePractice platform works for different specialities, practice sizes, and roles. And you’ll become the liaison to the Marketing Group on the product roadmap. You’ll be able to explain why a feature is needed, who it best serves, and you’ll ideate with the team on how to bring that product to market.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of our practitioners by staying up-to-date on our competitors, industry trends, target personas, customer needs, and the purchasing decision process
- Work closely with our Director of Market Expansion to understand and evaluate new market opportunities—including who to target and what strategies will ensure successful adoption of future releases
- Define and shape our product value propositions and external messaging in a succinct way that communicates the why, what, and when
- Own competitive analysis, including staying up-to-date on the competitive landscape to identify and amplify product differentiators
- Oversee go-to-market project planning, including building out and delivering on all tasks necessary to bring a feature to market (i.e. email, in-app, social, etc.)
- Become the trusted advisor for customer-centric messaging, including customer stories, testimonial videos, webinars, and more
- Monitor feature usage, analyze performance post-launch against predetermined KPIs, and analyze customer segments to identify trends and ideal segments for future campaigns
Desired Skills & Experience
- 3+ years experience in Product Marketing, Marketing, Project Management, or Product Management role(s)
- Experience crafting and implementing customer segmentation based on demographics, attitudes, behaviors and lifetime value
- Demonstrated track record of creating customer segment oriented campaigns to steer new customer acquisition, deepen engagement & retention
- Advanced quantitative and deductive skills. Ability to distinguish between the signal and the noise and make data-informed decisions
- Healthtech experience is a nice-to-have; interest in healthcare and a customer-first mindset is a must
- Experience with Google Suites (Docs, Sheets) and/or Asana or comparable tools is a nice-to-have
