We support over 14,000 organizations, including Fortune 500 customers like NVIDIA, and Lenovo, and provide DNS security to more than 4 million endusers. And we are growing quickly! At the start of 2020, our software was processing 1B queries/day; as we close out 2021 we're now processing an average of 17B queries/day! In the middle of a global pandemic, our team (and product) thrived. We doubled the size of our organization, and we're looking to do it all over again in 2022.
To help realize our product vision and sustain our growth, we are looking for a Product Marketing Manager with previous experience in the cybersecurity industry. In this role you'll develop product positioning and messaging to drive demand, revenue, education, and product stickiness. This is an ideal role for someone who loves a balance of being data driven and creative, is an outstanding communicator, and has a passion for the cybersecurity industry.
You will:
- Keep a pulse on our market and industry. You will have deep knowledge of our competitive landscape and expected market trends that may impact our business up to 2 years out
- Work with our Product team to deeply understand our target personas - their needs, buying journey(s), pricing sensitivity, and what they value about DNSFilter
- Develop resources to define positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiators
- Create and manage execution of launch strategy for all major feature releases (value positioning, press, customer communication, prospect communication)
- Enable marketing and sales to better optimize all activities related to our products - ensure prospects are receiving the right messaging and education at the right time, helping remove funnel friction
Your responsibilities:
- Persona development & management
- Product and feature positioning
- Own product usage metrics as they relate to pre-sale funnel and post-sale stickiness
- Write and maintain product documentation as it relates to competitors, purchasing, and reselling DNSFilter, working in tandem with our design and technical writing team members
- End-to-end product related campaigns
- Be a marketing and sales liaison to the Product team, ensuring smooth flow of information
- Talk directly with customers to help inform strategy, create case studies, and build evangelism
- Working cross-departmentally to set product pricing by tier, a la carte feature, etc.
You have:
- Experience in product management and/or product marketing in the cybersecurity industry
- Prior experience successfully launching cloud-based products with a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- High comfort level speaking directly with customers, asking probing questions, and documenting findings, as well as presenting on camera and in-person
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and thrives in a fast-paced environment where initiative is rewarded
- Ability to work hours that mostly overlap with EST
- Experience and comfort working remotely
