The Semiconductor Business Unit provides solutions for customers in pathfinding, yield learning, and failure analysis of semiconductor processes and manufacturing. As a member of this team you will work with companies on the leading edge of semiconductor innovation as they develop and characterize the processes that will lead to the technologies of tomorrow. You will collaborate closely with customers and other internal Thermo Fisher groups, such as sales, finance, and R&D, to drive revenue and develop roadmaps for future products.
How will you make an impact?
The Product Marketing Manager for PFA in the Semiconductor business unit is responsible for driving revenue and profitability of Dual Beam products. They will use an intimate knowledge of customer use cases to deliver impactful solutions and develop uniquely differentiated product offerings. This position is ideal for a candidate with in-depth experience in product marketing of capital equipment in the semiconductor industry. The successful candidate wants to be involved with a dynamic team and exposed to a constant variety of complex customer and engineering issues.
What will you do?
- Collect Voice of the Customer (VOC) input - Through direct communication with customers and applications engineers identify how customers use our Dual Beam products (FIB & SEM) and what drives their buying behavior. That information will be used to develop product roadmaps that offer high value solutions to semiconductor customers.
- Product Development - Create Market Requirements Documents (MRD) that are used by engineering to develop future products and a strong roadmap. Understand the semiconductor market and identify what products should be positioned for specific market segments. Work with R&D, service,
- Sales and Marketing Support - Develop compelling presentations and collateral that conveys a clear value proposition. Attend conferences and trade shows, product launches, and webinars. Deliver internal sales training and system trees that facilitate a seamless order process.
- Strategic Planning - Create a short and long term revenue forecast that can be used by finance and manufacturing to plan and build products that accurately meet customer demand.
- Complete Product Life Cycle Ownership, resulting in being held accountable for delivering products that meet or exceed market requirements on time.
- Travel as needed to visit with customers and other Thermo Fisher sites
How will you get here?
- Bachelor's degree is required, preferred degree in Physics, Material's Science, Chemistry and/or Master's in Business Administration
- Proven experience in product marketing and business development
- 5 or 5 plus years experience with knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and the use of one or all of the following; Focused Ion Beam, Scanning Electron Microscopy and Transmission Electron Microscopy, preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent, enthusiastic, clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with a diverse audience are critical to the success of this position.
- Excellent customer interfacing skills a must
- Proven ability to interact with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
- Ability to travel both domestically internationally (up to 35%), possession of a valid passport
- Effective communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively as a team member
