Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product marketing, product management, strategy or a related field.



Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience as a product marketing leader, with demonstrated ability to drive product launches and campaigns.
  • Positioning and messaging expertise, with knowledge of what differentiates a product experience and an ability to clearly communicate it in a way that resonates with core audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize user research and data to drive actionable insights to inform marketing and product strategy and improve the consumer experience.
  • Ability to collaborate successfully with a wide set of cross-functional partners, understanding the needs of each team and getting their buy-in and partnership for the work you are driving.

In this role, you will drive product marketing strategy for the core YouTube experiences across all devices and platforms. You will lead with consumer insights and drive analysis, positioning, objectives and metrics, and overall marketing approach. You'll enjoy data and experiments with an insights-led mindset to identify opportunities. Through close collaboration with the product team coupled with strategic marketing, you will deepen consumer engagement with the YouTube experience and launch new experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Set product marketing strategy to achieve core YouTube business objectives (e.g. set goals, identify audiences, define value proposition, establish narrative, etc.).
  • Use data and insights to understand and align the business on areas of focus, and to identify needs for product/policy improvements and education across YouTube.
  • Identify and analyze specific audiences among YouTube's consumer base and use research and data to develop audience-specific insights and value proposition.
  • Develop overarching YouTube narratives based on user insights and work with product teams to connect existing product proof points and influence future product roadmap.
  • Plan and implement Go-to-Market strategy for product launches (e.g. awareness and adoption strategies, etc.), and bundle disparate launches into impact moments aligned with your core narrative.
