The Marketing Analyst (MA) will take on various tasks required by the broader team such as handling small briefs, data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, preparing files to become Tableau dashboards, and creating PowerPoint reports. The MA will report directly to the Director of Analytics & Insights, a key member of the B2B Marketing leadership team.

While the B2B Analytics Team exists in a large organization, this team functions in the model of an in-house start-up consultancy. This means we answer briefs (questions) from our marketers (clients) with a keen eye towards accuracy and presentation to ensure our analytics brand is associated with the highest quality.

This person must be agile, comfortable switching from task-to-task quickly without notice, and, at times, work without clear instructions and still get the job done. This person must also have a strong desire to learn from their peers, try new things and sometimes fail, and take great pride in the quality of their work as it is a representation of the larger team.

Responsibilities

  • This person is responsible for supporting day-to-day activities of the B2B Marketing Analytics team
  • This will include various tasks in Excel, Python, Tableau, PowerPoint, Google Big Query, and Snowflake as the wider team needs
  • Handle analytics questions from our marketing team by pulling together raw data sets, returning sound analysis that includes insights to fully answer their questions, and completing extensive data validation to ensure accuracy
  • Participate in regular team meetings and learn about the various aspects of the business
  • Regularly upskilling in relevant technologies and methodologies


The anticipated starting salary range for those expressing interest in this position is $55K-$60K. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Benefits available to eligible employees can be seen at: https://pearsonbenefitsus.com/

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Data Analytics, Data Science, or related area
  • No previous experience necessary, but preferred
  • Experience working in Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, SQL, Python
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders from across functions including marketing, sales, technology, operations, finance, product management, and executive leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to take direction and apply new concepts to analytic challenges
  • Intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to learn new skills and explore new approaches
