ROLE OVERVIEW
The Product Manager of Procurement Systems will start off with driving the product vision, planning, execution, and launch of product releases to establish a unified, best practice Contract Life cycle management experience across the organization, globally. The Product Manager should strive to attain industry best contract management efficiency, effectiveness, and quality with this initiative.
Longer term, this role is responsible to help define the Source to Procure capabilities to aspire for, by collaborating with Sourcing and Category management organizations and assist in re-engineering core business processes, implementing advanced information technology solutions and instituting governance to deliver business value to stakeholders. The Product Manager will also be responsible to lead the on-going operations and continuous improvements of the various applications used in the sourcing and category management organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Empathizing — Start from understanding our business partners(their pain points) and work towards unified solutions that address their needs globally
- Collaborating — Don’t operate in a silo; you’ll need to engage with various other stakeholders across the company. You will need to work with SaaS implementation partners and business leads to articulate business needs. Propose design and configurations to address them. Create a strong and mutually supportive work environment by building, maintaining, and growing collaborative relationships with business partners and peers in solving business and technical problems
- Planning — Take our road mapping process quite seriously; you’ll need to be able to project several months into the future, think about the state we want to reach, develop a plan for how to get there, and find ways to measure progress along the way. Drive scoping exercise, define requirements, develop business case and priorities
- Influencing – You need to get buy in from the business leads and process owners on designing applications to achieve capabilities with a future looking vision
- Analyzing — Cultivate a data-driven culture; You need to be comfortable working with large quantities of data and unpacking trends
- Innovating — You’ll spend a significant portion of your time thinking up and coalescing ideas, and packaging them into actionable projects with high-value scope
- Coordinating — From design to engineering to globalization, you’ll need to bring people together to get tasks done. Proactively identify and align appropriate IT and Business functional and technical skills and resources necessary to meet the strategic goals and business objectives, within the committed timelines and budgets
- Communicating — You’ll need to be comfortable discussing, debating, writing, and presenting complex ideas with stakeholders at all levels, from individual contributors to executives
- Moving Quickly — Institute fast development cycle; we want to launch fearlessly and roll-back aggressively.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree with 15+ years of related experience in product management for SaaS product/cloud applications
- Deep functional and technical professional services experience in designing, configuring, integrating, deploying, and maintaining business software solutions in the Procurement Management
- Experience using Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
- Familiarity with the following technology domains is preferred: Data Integration, Business Intelligence
