Skillsoft Product Marketing team provides world-class go-to-market support that develops awareness of our brand and capabilities, develops desire for our solutions, and accelerates our sales pipeline. We do this through digital and traditional marketing tactics and programs, in partnership with our product management and sales teams.

We are currently seeking a Product Line Marketer to lead end-to-end marketing activities and campaigns that target training buyers in Learning & Development and IT buying centers. The Product Line Marketing Manager is responsible for driving awareness and demand for specific product portfolios. The Product Line Marketer serves as a portfolio subject matter expert within the go-to-market team, and is responsible for creating key marketing outcomes (inbound traffic, assisted pipeline, sourced pipeline, etc). This role will craft product marketing strategies, develop content, and coordinate a variety of marketing projects in concert with Campaign Management and other marketing functions.  In essence, the Product Line Marketing Manager’s mission is to refine product positioning, drive customer desire, and optimize the relevant customer journeys.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • The following responsibilities represent the daily activities of a Product Line Marketing Manager:
  • Define and implement campaigns across a variety of inbound & outbound marketing channels.
  • Position our product portfolio in a manner that speaks to the needs of key buyer personae. 
  • Monitor performance metrics, proposing improvement and optimization projects as needed.
  • Recommend and create content assets to be used across a variety of channels.
  • Source (or create) thought leadership content that increases awareness of our brand and quality.
  • Monitor and analyze competitor offerings and develop competitive strategies.
  • Work with Product leaders to develop and execute product line marketing plans, collaborating regularly to maximize value and impact.
  • Act as a business partner to the wider product and marketing teams to achieve our collective business goals.
  • Deliver additional ad-hoc marketing activities to support our planned commercial results.

 

Desired Skills 

  • Analyze web analytics information in order to identify opportunities for improvement to web content
  • Analyze win/loss information to detect breakdowns in the marketing and sales process
  • Craft marketing campaigns and customer journeys that deliver business results
  • Develop product messaging (positioning statement, value props, etc)
  • Manage and prioritize project schedules and tasks to ensure alignment business requirements, available resources, and stakeholder expectations
  • Strong business acumen
  • Manage relationships (executives, peers, partners, customers)
  • IT job roles and enterprise technology lifecycles
  • Source content from internal and external subject matter experts
  • Experience with b-to-b buying processes
  • Experience with eCommerce & digital customer acquisition (preferred)
  • Familiarity with recurring revenue business models (preferred)


Desired Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or comparable mix of education and experience
  • 5 years of experience marketing technology or training-centric solutions
  • Proficient in sales & marketing tools (Salesforce, Marketo, Sitecore), Office productivity apps (Excel, PPT, Word), analytics tools (Google Analytics, AHRefs, SEMRush)
  • Experience or knowledge of the training and/or learning & development industry
  • Must be well-organized and service-orientated, with a strong track record of follow-through
  • Team player and a strong relationship builder
  • Ability to conduct business in a virtual environment, working with multiple virtual teams
  • Prior sales experience


Target base salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be $70,000 to $90,000 annualized.

We also offer participation in the Company Bonus Program and full benefits. The company may modify salaries, salary ranges and/or Pay Plans from time to time as it deems necessary.
