About the job
The Red Hat Business Unit is looking for a Principal Product Marketing Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will collaborate with the Product Management team to understand product features and solutions and how they can apply to solving customer problems, and apply that understanding to go-to-market sales messaging.

Red Hat, Inc. office in Raleigh, N.C.
What you will do

  • Collaborate with the Product Marketing team to understand markets for products and go-to-market messages, and apply that understanding to sales messaging and programs
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, and Product Marketing teams to understand how products key
  • functionality translates to customer value, and apply that understanding to sales messaging
  • Develop relationships 'on the ground' with key stakeholders, and support stakeholder teams by providing and championing specific, actionable, sales execution, training, and education
  • Participate in the creation of sales messaging content for all Cloud Services products, including marketing documents, presentation, videos, and audio content
  • Support geographic sales leaders who drive execution of value-focused messaging outreach that drives revenue and retention, and generate reports on the performance of programs executed
  • Support sales messaging enablement and training activities for all sales channels


What you will bring

  • Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in business administration, management information systems, technology management, computer science, or related field and 3+ years of experience in the job offered or related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in business administration, management information systems, technology management, computer science, or related field and 5+ years of experience in the job offered or related role
  • 3+ years of experience with: cloud-native software development methodologies, technologies, and vendor offerings to build applications and business solutions; sales messaging experience, or B2B marketing experience targeting cloud-native software development related persons; and primary and secondary research to collect, validate, analyze, and interpret market-related data, including industry, financial, market, and competitive insights
  • 2+ years of experience with: Red Hat technologies associated with application services products, including Kubernetes, Java, Camel, KAFKA, messaging, and API management; writing content, creating presentations, developing videos, and presenting content to large audiences; taking complex business and technical topics, and simplifying them to an accurate and easily understandable form used to communicate with others not familiar with the subject matter; and supporting sales organizations to directly impact revenue generation and with 'end-to-end funnel' sales and marketing processes
  • 1+ year(s) of experience with: product management, product features, and product solutions as they apply to technical and business use cases; and product marketing and go-to-market messages, including development of value-based messaging
  • Willingness to participate in domestic and international travel 20% of time, following Red Hat's COVID-19 guidelines; travel expenses covered by Red Hat, Inc.
