The Red Hat Ansible Automation Product Marketing team is looking for a Senior Principal Product Marketing Manager to join us in Raleigh/Durham, NC or remotely. In this role, you will be a part of the Ansible Automation Product Marketing team and have Team Leader responsibilities, as well as developing and carrying out key programs to generate demand, increase revenue, retain customers, increase adoption, and build enterprise brand awareness for Ansible Automation Platform domains of Infrastructure, Networking, Security, and Cloud. You will work closely with the product management, partner management and engineering, corporate marketing, regional and field marketing, and channel marketing teams to create integrated programs and thought leadership that lead to continued business growth. You will also interact with other Product Marketing Managers inside and outside of the business unit, integrating messages and offerings across the Red Hat portfolio of solutions and corporate marketing efforts. You'll need to have excellent management, communication, and coordination skills, the ability to create comprehensive programs and expertise working with and directly supporting cross-functional teams in a technology company.
What you will do

  • Understand the main business goals of the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform when interacting extended teams
  • Acts as a mentor providing guidance to other product marketing managers covering automation domains of Infrastructure, Security, and Network Automation.
  • Build thought leadership, marketing and launch plans, buying and user personas, and activities and tactics specific to the Cloud Automation domain working closely with other business units including Red Hat OpenShift and Hybrid Cloud Platforms.
  • Implement the strategy, marketing plan, and quarterly business updates
  • Measure effectiveness of product marketing programs
  • Create standard presentations and work with technical marketing team, engineering, and other subject matter experts for demos, blogs, webinars
  • Align sales tools, plays, processes that support the typical buying process
  • Collaborate with product management and partner ISV teams
  • Deliver sales enablement
  • Collaborate with extended teams to develop and carry out activities to help promote outcome-based marketing programs and cross-portfolio messaging, content, expertise, and vision
  • Contribute and manage the financial budget for activities with others in the team


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA is a plus
  • 12+ years of related B2B product marketing experience, preferably in the technology field; IT Automation, container, cloud experience a plus
  • Understanding of opensource software development
  • Positive attitude and a good work ethic; great organizational and communication skills
  • Understanding of sales needs, different stages of the customer buying cycle
  • Demonstrated management skills and creativity
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Experience in a multinational environment is a plus
