About the job

This position is needed to drive awareness and attendance to our flagship annual customer and developer conference, SIGNAL. This is a critical role on a dynamic team of doers that has the support of marketing behind it. As part of the Global Events Marketing Team, you’ll be responsible for the development and execution of marketing initiatives that help to nurture leads across multiple channels. In this role, you’ll own our paid social and optimization efforts across our email, social media, and targeted advertising campaigns as well as report on analytics and provide recommendations to improve our marketing strategy.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Own and implement event acquisition strategy (SEO, paid social, display, web) including setting forecast and budget across performance channels.
  • Utilize analytics capabilities to establish, track, and optimize for direct response performance, reporting on pipeline intelligence metrics. Leverage analytics data to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Identify new areas of opportunities for growth and refinement of creative, messaging, targeting, and overall channel efficiency.
  • Implement and manage corresponding technology stack including ad platforms, management tools, relevant website features, and testing tools like Google Optimize.
  • Develop multi-channel marketing campaigns to support pre- and post-show promotion and engagement

Required:

  • Adept at identifying and crafting stories to promote our event, products, generate leads, educate audiences and achieve business objectives. Proven ability to customize content for different marketing channels. 
  • Strong written skills and ability to translate technical content into digestible content for sales and customers. SEO experience is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills managing content planning across channels, marketing collateral creation, and editorial calendars.
  • Experience and expertise in Google Ad and Display Network, Google Tag Manager, YouTube, Google Analytics, Salesforce, LinkedIn ads, Facebook ads, and other direct response marketing channels.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on establishing clear reporting and testing methodologies to forecast and track performance, using data to find opportunities

Desired:

  • 5+ years experience in a marketing and/or content marketing role 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to determine and apply appropriate voices for a variety of audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple projects on aggressive timelines
  • Familiarity with SEO and marketing concepts
  • Must have used one or more content marketing management systems & analytics tools like: Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Hubspot, Marketo, etc.
  • Very strong analytical, communication and presentation skills with fluency in key analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics) and ability to produce reports and dashboards.

Location 

This role will be remote and based in the United States. 

Approximately 10% travel is anticipated.

Colorado applicants: 

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $87,360 - $124,800.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
