We’re seeking a Principal Associate to join the Workplace Solutions Marketing & Communications team. As a part of this team, you’ll work with different functional groups and on a variety of topics such as Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, associate development, talent & performance management, recognition and more. You’ll have the opportunity to help drive our communications agenda and play an integral part of the evolution of our organization while bringing energy, enthusiasm and supporting all facets of communications. This position requires exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills; experience consulting executives; the ability to lead projects and work with multiple stakeholders or partners to meet objectives; and a proven track record of building trusted relationships and influencing key stakeholders to achieve the best results.

What you’ll do:
Build and execute on communication strategy that support the organization’s vision, goals and objectives
Manage key partnerships, including interacting and communicating with stakeholders across all levels to inform and influence outcomes
Plan effective and engaging internal communications that inform and inspire readers, including development of talking points and presentations
Demonstrate strong critical thinking with the ability to adapt in real time and provide clear recommendations in an ever-changing environment
Ensure communications are viewed through the lens of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, including consulting leaders, enterprise experts, tools and resources as needed
Evaluate performance for communications based on key metrics and recommend refinements to communications strategies, messaging, and channels/forums
Build a culture of appreciation and recognition through various communication channels.
Advance Capital One’s Talent Brand, including our voice and tone, avoiding “corporate speak” and encouraging natural language
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 5 years of experience in communications or public relations
At least 5 years of experience in developing communications or copywriting materials
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 7 years of experience in communications or public relations
At least 7 years of experience in developing communications or copywriting materials
At least 1 year of experience with GSuite
At least two years of client-oriented professional services consulting experience
Previous diversity, equity and inclusion; talent brand; employment; and/or internal employee communications experience
Experience organizing and managing multiple, and sometimes competing projects, to high quality conclusion on-time
