Eaton's Power Systems Division is currently seeking a Pricing & Marketing Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Badger Dr. facility in Waukesha, WI. This opportunity will have opportunity for a hybrid remote work schedule.

Position Overview:

The Pricing and Marketing Analyst will develop and deliver pricing and marketing solutions for all products within Power System Division (PSD), as well as act an internal consultant and provide analytical support throughout all aspects of the division. Working with Product Marketing and Senior Management, the Pricing and Marketing Analyst makes recommendations and assists with the design and implementation of various analytic projects across the organization. Working with all departments within the division the Pricing and Marketing Analyst will research and develop new analytic projects and insights by utilizing statistical modeling techniques to identify improvement opportunities. The Pricing and Marketing Analyst needs to develop working relationships with all areas within the business including Product Marketing, Finance, Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Engineering, IT and Management. These relationships are important to fully leverage the analysis and consultancy role the team offers.

In this function you will:

Strategy:

  • Develop price adjustment strategies including price segmentation and business rules in conjunction with PSD marketing.
  • Discover opportunities to improve the business's price realization performance
  • Build consensus among Product Marketing teams on implementation of these strategies.
  • Develop market segmentation approaches to deliver increased sales and margin performance.
  • Develop price configuration rules
  • Administer and deploy price increases to businesses quoting systems.
  • Present findings and recommendations to business unit personnel to support business decisions


Project management:

  • Prepare value propositions and model business-cases for various price actions scenarios.
  • Support research projects; design, data collection and monitoring of data gathering, reporting and presentation of results and recommendations.
  • Work with personnel across the business to identify customers' needs, target segments and sub-segments, and preferred product features important for analysis.
  • Provide guidance and participate in customer needs assessment research and analysis.
  • Maintain a conversational knowledge of the electrical industry; demand trends, product usage, etc.
  • Conduct special statistical studies as needed and in coordination with other departments.


Research:

  • Establish appropriate research methodology.
  • Extract, cleanse and analyze data for use in analysis and reporting
  • Complete inputs for GPI (General Price Increase) including economic and market research, key commodity trends, and competitor research.
  • Develop pricing research to analyze price/margin data and determine pricing opportunities.
  • Create new reports and processes to support PSD business intelligence requirements.
  • Perform customer or product specific ad-hoc analysis to measure changes in sales, margin, and price.
  • Perform economic research related to orders, sales, gross margin and other metrics


Forecast:

  • Assist in development of econometric models to determine current market conditions and project future business trends and performance.
  • Analyze quantitative and non-quantitative data using mathematical and statistical techniques.
  • Develop strategic recommendations based on findings.
  • Clearly communicate results of data analysis and mathematical modeling to technical and non-technical audiences.


Education:

  • Train Product Marketing teams on analytic tools, metrics, and analysis techniques.
  • Train Product Marketing teams on pricing management concepts.
  • Educate Product Marketing on new statistical forecast techniques and solutions.


IT Support:

  • Coordinate with IT to ensure department's dedicated SPSS Modeler Software and data feeds are operational
  • Maintain queries and subsequent code used by the department to perform data pulls and analysis
  • Create new code and queries to accommodate analytical needs
  • Design and Support the development of reports and Qlikview environments for use by the business
  • Represent the department's needs during any formal IT stage gate projects


General Division Support:

  • Work with IT to ensure department's dedicated SPSS Modeler Software and datafeeds are operational
  • Actively pursue opportunities where department's analytical resources can add value to division issues beyond pricing.
  • Will be the division's NEMA Market Reporting expert

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years work experience in finance, accounting, pricing, business or marketing, including one (1) year in data analysis
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Waukesha, WI will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Three (3) years or more experience in data analysis
  • Experience with MS Office, SAP, IBM SPSS Modeler and QlikView or other statistical software

  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new software and coding language
