Policy Communications Specialist

What you’ll be responsible for:
This role is designed for early career candidates looking to learn, grow and build a compelling portfolio of work through collaboration and opportunities across strategy, policy and communications. As a Policy Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for connecting the dots between current affairs and trends to help us look around corners, evolve our narrative and be ahead of what’s coming next. You will also play a critical role as Circle’s voice, driving the build out of owned content engines and supplying the content to populate them. The role will work as part of a highly collaborative team, engaging in global policy, economics, communications and Circle Impact initiatives for a well-rounded opportunity to learn and grow your career. This role will report to the Senior Director of Public Policy & Strategy.
What you'll work on:
- Monitoring news, evolving trends and headlines to provide insight into the evolving narrative around crypto and stablecoins and providing recommendations based on your findings
- Providing decision support to key executives shaping global strategy, policy, regulatory and strategic communications responses
- Issuing regular quantitative and qualitative market intelligence reporting that helps to shape company responses
- Contributing to the weekly update on Policy and Trends impacting our business
- Creating strategic owned content for the press and policy hubs on our website
- Creating bylined articles on relevant topics for your own placement and as a ghost writer on behalf of leaders
- Synthesizing policy content for all of Circle consumptions

What you'll bring to Circle:
- Bachelor’s degree in public policy or a related field
- Internship experience or relevant work-study experience in a policy environment
- Effective analytical, quantitative and qualitative skills, including primary and secondary research, market intelligence and other methods
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Appetite for learning, growth and career development
- Get-it-done attitude with ability to pivot fast, go with the flow and take on new challenges
- A foundational understanding of markets, finance, banking, and economics
- A deep interest in crypto and blockchain infrastructure
- Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite
