The Marketing & Communications team is responsible for connecting the world to lifelong transformative learning. They also work to shape public conversations on the future of education and work. The team is segmented into four areas of focus: Consumer Marketing, Enterprise Marketing, Brand & Creative, and Communications. The team is currently focused on expanding the reach of Coursera’s brand, attracting students to degree programs, bringing new customers to Coursera for Business, and creating a marketing system that nurtures learners throughout their professional lives. 


As a Partner Marketing Manager on the Consumer Marketing Team, you will partner with industry partners like Google Cloud, Amazon, SAS, and more to build and execute marketing campaigns and programs to enroll learners into their content, build capabilities and infrastructure for the future success of these programs, and inform ongoing content and marketing strategy. You will work with our partners to set marketing goals, develop joint marketing plans, refine product positioning and messaging, and run campaigns to hit learner goals. The right candidate will feel comfortable working in a lean, performance-driven environment while maintaining a strong sense of team and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with industry partners and Coursera’s partnership and services teams to develop joint marketing plans and bring co-marketing campaigns to life across B2C channels
  • Drive uplift in reach and revenue through development of positioning, messaging, creative and go-to-market plans for industry content on Coursera
  • Monitor, optimize, and innovate ways to drive traffic and conversion in programs
  • Own database marketing execution for key programs, including triggered and lifecycle email communications to nurture potential learners up to the point of enrollment
  • Collaborate with other marketing team members to drive new learner acquisition via PR, SEO, paid marketing, content marketing, etc. to achieve target numbers of enrolled learners
  • Work with industry partner, services, and marketing departments to share learnings, track progress against goals, and coordinate and execute marketing activities

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience developing positioning, messaging, creative, and go-to-market strategies that deliver business results for consumer products
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering growth through one or more key marketing channels (eg. SEM, display advertising, SEO, email marketing, etc.)
  • Experience collaborating with enterprise partners to develop and execute joint marketing plans, experience in a partner marketing role is a plus
  • Demonstrated history in writing copy, email marketing, marketing analytics, growth optimization, and demand generation best practices for high consideration products
  • Experience writing marketing briefs and developing integrated go-to-market strategies, understanding of B2C online marketing channels

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analytical and problem solving skills; comfortable leveraging data to drive decisions and turning marketing campaign results into actionable learnings
  • Background in setting and achieving aggressive quantitative goals for new product launches and execution of ongoing marketing campaigns for existing products
  • Initiative to drive projects forward, collaborate across multiple teams, and proactively ask questions to get information and resources
  • Passion for online education and understanding of the higher education landscape
  • Strong written communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • A desire to build something new that can change the world, versus fitting neatly into a large company with an established static playbook
