We are hiring a Marketing Specialist to support our Americas Events and Programming. This role will be responsible delivering the event execution for a series of programs in our Americas marketing organization. Programs will include webcast, online events, event series and roadshows, and VMworld ancillary programs. Communication, partnership and alignment with our Global Demand Execution and Americas Solution and Field Teams will be critical. Tracking and reporting are key essentials to ensuring visibility and achievement to goals.

The individual will work across different teams within Americas Marketing organization as well as with key stakeholders and colleagues in the Demand Center. Strong cross-team collaboration, project management and operational excellence are critical elements to success in this role. Creativity and energy with fresh programs outlook are key requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute programs including webcast, online events, event series and roadshows, and VMworld ancillary programs.
• Create and define the follow-up progress to continually engage customers
• Communicate with stakeholders and align with business priorities to drive impact.
• Support entire program lifecycle from planning, feedback and collaboration loop to execution of pre, onsite and post program management.
• Operationalize programs and events in thoughtful execution, in close partnership within the team, program owners, Field Marketing and other stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement and bring to the table fresh ideas to drive the most impact in our program initiatives and events.
• Execute and report on execution of assigned budget. Tie spend against outcomes.

Education/Experience:

• Students graduating with their Bachelor's degree in Spring of 2022
• Internship, paid or volunteer business experience is a plus
• University experience in event planning, marketing, or communications

Location:

Remote: this role is fully remote and can be done anywhere in the United States, with preference to candidates located near VMware offices (Palo Alto, Boston, Austin, Atlanta, etc)
