The Marketing Technology Manager must also understand the valuable potential of automation and technology management to streamline functions across the Group Benefits Marketing team and the rest of the Group Benefits organization. They should understand how systems could interconnect to integrate data between platforms and how work crosses all digital channels to improve business performance. The Marketing Technology Manager will provide support in content platform management, campaign automation, decision support, technology application ownership, project management, and reporting.

As a Marketing Technology Manager, you will be responsible for:

Technology management and data integration SUPPORT

Serve as owner of multiple tools and applications for the GB Marketing team. Responsible for understanding user engagement, system managements, updates/enhancements, and system requirements. Must know how to capitalize on data and technology to fulfill organizational goals with a key focus in:

  • Serving as super-user and product lead for a variety of digital tools and applications
  • Strategy development and implementation to automate marketing efforts to improve business outcomes
  • Change management, including implementation of new marketing technology rollouts
  • Potentially overseeing training of marketing software and user adoption
  • Oversee data security and governance review process
  • Reviews daily/weekly/monthly reporting to provide data-driven insights to leadership
  • Relationship management with internal technology users, IT developers, and external vendors
  • Working with Strategic Innovation Marketing Manager on optimizing technology investments


THROUGH-CHANNEL AUTOMATION COLLATERAL PLATFORM SUPPORT

Responsible for managing our internal through-channel automation collateral platform. Working directly with business partners to maintain user experience, compliance standards, collateral enhancements, campaign effectiveness and reporting with a key focus in:

  • Vendor Relationship management: Working with our vendor to maintain and enhance current platform
  • Automation: Maximize automation capabilities for distribution of various marketing materials
  • Billing: Reviewing budgeted monthly costs and track spending trends month over month, year over year, etc
  • Overall Platform Management: Understanding functionality of how the platform works
  • Performance Optimization: Maximize user Customer Experience and efficient usage of the tool


Miscellaneous Support

  • Handles requests for ad hoc communications and ad hoc projects as needed


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge of marketing-related business practices, including technology, automation, integrations, market research, and budgeting
  • Technologically savvy team player who can understand the full scope of a project including connecting dots and breaking all details down
  • Effective communication skills and adaptable communication style for interacting with cross functional "matrix" teams including internal business partners, external customers and vendors
  • The expertise to build relationships and trust with our partners is a must.
  • Detail-oriented and a multitasker with ability to meet tight turnaround times and deadlines.
  • Resourceful - knows how to make things happen
  • A self-starter who takes the initiative to identify needs and then develops realistic and creative solutions
  • Strong project management, priority management and organizational skills
  • Can work independently and handles ambiguity well.
  • Industry experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite


Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$76,720 - $115,080
