Position Specific Description

Power Wizard is a new type of energy management company for residential customers. We believe that everyone should be able to make energy decisions with confidence. Our mission is to provide the tools, information, and products to help residential consumers make informed energy decisions.

We are looking for a smart, collaborative, savvy search engine optimization (SEO) specialist to support our SEO needs as a member of the company's digital team. This role will work closely across the marketing team to ensure that our digital efforts are optimized for search.

Position Specific Description

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Perform SEO activities to drive significant increases in organic search traffic resulting in measurable growth across all relevant KPIs
  • Creation of SEO-focused content and the tactical optimization of content across the website
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams responsible for creating content to ensure SEO is a key consideration and final content is optimized
  • Regularly communicate insights and report out progress against goals, including analysis and action plans to address any performance and content gaps
  • Weigh the competitive landscape from an SEO standpoint to ensure we maintain an advantage against competitors and others vying for keywords rankings
  • Collaborate across the organization to identify trends, gain approval of prioritized keywords, and identify opportunities where SEO guidance would add value
  • Report out on progress of ongoing optimization efforts as well as special projects at an appropriate level for the audience, taking a data-driven approach
  • Forecast the business impact of SEO on areas such as web traffic, company awareness, sales, and customer growth



Key qualifications are:

  • Knowledge of SEO methodologies, KPIs, Google Core Web Vitals, and algorithm ranking factors. Able to translate this knowledge into actionable activities to improve the overall capabilities of the Power Wizard brand.
  • Demonstrated skills in developing SEO reporting
  • Content/editorial skills, ideally with experience working for an energy management company and/or direct to consumer



Job Overview

This job is responsible for assisting with projects from the earliest stages of concept and development through to successful, on-time completion as measured by achievement of metrics. Employees in this role provide support in developing and executing marketing plans and initiatives to support business objectives. Individuals in this position are expected to understand needs and help to develop marketing solutions.
