Description

Tyler Technologies is currently hiring a Marketing Specialist to support the Data & Insights division. As a Marketing Specialist, you are responsible for creating and managing multifaceted marketing campaigns, webinars, and events that raise awareness, generate leads, and create loyalty among the group's prospects and clients. This includes selecting appropriate communication vehicles, writing well-researched content, and managing the development of initiatives to completion, including tracking key performance indicators and budgets.

This role will be responsible for implementing marketing programs and events, both traditional and digital. You will manage our webinars and tradeshows and implement marketing strategies to promote them as well as create simple content such as, blogs, web copy, newsletters, email communications, social media campaigns, ad copy, and more. You will need to understand how to position and promote our software solutions to government professionals in order to help convert prospects into leads.

The work of the Marketing Specialist will enhance the brand, position Tyler Technologies for consideration, and help close new business. As a part of Tyler Technologies' corporate staff, you will make an impact on outcomes that affect various areas of the company. Your work will ultimately support our team members, clients, internal stakeholders, and the public sector.
Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative ways to communicate marketing messages via integrated marketing programs that include direct mail, email, web, video, collateral, social media, and advertising.
  • Plan, implement, and promote tradeshows, webinars and other events
  • Write copy content for marketing materials in a manner that is audience appropriate, impactful, and that follows writing and SEO best practices.
  • Effectively interact with Sales or other internal clients to determine requirements and design programs that meet campaign objectives.
  • Utilize a metric driven approach to determine which campaigns/programs are most effective and leverage these learnings to adjust future marketing activity.
  • Project manage campaigns to ensure they are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and manage project schedules, approvals and other project-related needs utilizing the Marketing Department's online project management software.
  • Obtain product or service information by interviewing or requesting such information from necessary parties including internal division subject matter experts and clients.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years marketing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • An understanding of and experience with a variety of types of marketing communications vehicles - including email, social media, direct mail, collateral, video, web, and tradeshows
  • Experience effectively managing a variety of marketing projects and timelines, with close attention to detail
  • Strong writing skills and experience; knowledge of AP style
  • Ability to incorporate customer needs and client perspectives into communications
  • Ability to effectively work with subject matter experts across the group's various verticals
  • Capacity to stay abreast of industry and marketing best practices, trends, ideas, tools, and technology
  • Project management skills
  • Macintosh or PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with Marketo preferred
  • An understanding of graphic applications, image/media files, web media/interactive marketing, etc.
  • A positive attitude with a desire to go above and beyond expectations is key to the success of this role
  • Willing to apply a mindset of, "I don't know, but I can figure it out" when faced with challenges
  • Technology/software industry experience strongly preferred; public sector experience preferred
