Position Summary

TaxAct, a subsidiary of Blucora and sister company to Avantax Wealth Management & Avantax Planning Partners is seeking a Marketing Project Manager that will be responsible for partnering with internal clients to plan and manage the execution of assigned projects related to their marketing campaigns. This person will serve as the hub of project information and will proactivelyhandholdprojects from beginning to end - this includes project intake, task identification, the strategic delegation of team members, status reporting, and identifying and clearing roadblocks. This person willhelp todrive and develop ways of working to ensure team efficiency, organization, and success. Idealcandidateshave a hybrid of technical and soft skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise assigned projects from beginning to end.
  • Partner with the Creative Traffic Manager on creative assignments within assigned projects.
  • Own, organize and run status meetings for all applicable initiatives and efforts.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross-company partners - product, legal, business development, technology, etc.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of the TaxAct marketing process and workflow.
  • Ensure optimized utilization of Workfront to manage project efficiency, team communication and understanding, and reporting capabilities.
  • Identify and escalate dependencies, conflicts, risks, delays, or any other unusual situations - working to resolve these matters when necessary to limit disruption.


Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in projectmanagement.
  • 3+ years of experience usingWorkfrontor related workflow toolsrequired.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDFs required, Smartsheet and CMS aplus.

  • Keying/typing, standing, walking.
  • Sitting for an extended period.
  • Constant mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness in an office environment.
  • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during the normal performance of the job.
  • Compliance with company attendance standards.
