Who You Are

Ontic is looking for an experienced and mission-driven Marketing Operations Manager to join our Business Operations Team and be responsible for developing and optimizing Ontic’s marketing operations in partnership with the cross-functional go-to-market team. 


Reporting to the Director of Revenue Operations and working collaboratively with the Senior Director of Revenue Marketing, you will have the opportunity to develop, execute and optimize Ontic’s revenue engine, ensuring that we have the right processes, reporting and technology in place to deeply understand what’s working and what’s not in order to hit our revenue goals.


As a critical member of the business operations team and embedded partner to marketing, you must be comfortable thinking of the big picture while also diving deep into systems and data. You’ll bring a deep understanding on how B2B lead management and campaign workflows should operate across different technologies and have strong project management skills. You’ll be tasked with addressing complex problems head on and developing simple and efficient solutions to operationalize and scale marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute a wide range of marketing operations initiatives to improve campaign tracking, lead management and overall execution of the demand funnel
  • Administer our marketing automation platform (Marketo) and manage data and integrations with Salesforce as well as other marketing technology solutions (e.g. Drift, ABM platform, etc.)
  • Manage and optimize database elements including program list selection, email development (content from campaign managers), testing and approval process and overall database health
  • Ensure Marketo programs and workflows are operating appropriately and proactively identify process improvement opportunities
  • Assist revenue marketing team with the build of sophisticated marketing automation programs (e.g. nurture tracks) that align with buyer journey stage
  • Optimize lead and account scoring (behavioral, firmographic, and predictive models) and lead/account routing methodologies to improve quality and ensure smooth handoffs throughout the funnel
  • Ensure lead upload processes are standardized for optimal segmentation and in accordance with Salesforce processes
  • Collaborate with revenue operations and finance teams to develop new attribution and tracking methodologies, create reports and analyze data to help improve efficiency, program effectiveness and better demonstrate marketing impact
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on key marketing metrics along with analysis and recommendations for improvement
  • Develop and execute a strategy for monitoring and improving gaps in database hygiene and marketing automation performance including data enrichment, progressive profiling, preference centers, customized governance filters and compliance
  • Collaborate with sales operations on enhancing and troubleshooting issues with the lead management process and system integrations
  • Drive alignment between marketing and sales on joint metrics and ensure operational support for the sales development team
  • Oversee user requests, determine prioritization, and maintain SLA compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience in a marketing / sales operations and automation role at B2B software companies
  • 2+ years of experience as a Marketo Administrator and a Marketo Certified Expert
  • 2+ years of experience working in Salesforce
  • Experience with B2B marketing technology such as Drift, 6sense, Demandbase, Rollworks or other ABM platforms a plus
  • Understanding of business process development and optimization, including data analysis, business intelligence, and lead management processes and technologies
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter; able to operate independently with strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Efficiently manage multiple tasks, priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with a natural curiosity to develop hypotheses and make data-driven decisions
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with all levels across the organization
  • Excitement and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required
