What You'll Do Here

Gale is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to help lead the strategy and execution of data-driven campaigns and initiatives to meet and exceed revenue goals within the K-12 school market, specifically helping build positive customer relationships for strategic priorities throughout the sales funnel for the domestic learning market segment.

The marketing manager will apply customer, market, and competitive data to decision making. They will combine their research and experience to build a measurable, scalable marketing strategy for a defined product portfolio to support company wide-initiatives, like Gale In Context student databases. Collaborating closely with marketing, brand creative services, sales, product, and customer experience team members, the marketing manager will develop messaging strategies and integrated marketing campaigns that align with corporate and market goals, solve customer problems with Gale solutions, reflect the Gale brand, and drive revenue, retention, and growth.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in converting prospects to leads and sales, driving replicable results, and delivering a positive return on investment through various marketing channels and well-versed in tactics like email and content marketing, social media and blogging, webinars, collateral, events, and more.

This role reports to a senior marketing manager within the domestic learning K-12 segment. Daily work will be remote.

  • Develop data-driven marketing programs with the purpose of moving customers through the sales funnel to generate new business.
  • Contribute to the development of market messaging strategies by staying current with consumer and competitive insights as well as marketing trends.
  • Lead the execution of campaigns from inception through final delivery-on time and within budget.
  • Direct the targeting and segmentation of campaigns as needed to ensure we're reaching the right customer with the right message, at the right time.
  • Communicate internally with partners across the business to keep them informed of what's in market and the available tools to support customer engagement.
  • Partner with business analysts within marketing, sales, and product to understand the impact of marketing programs on the business, with an eye toward continuous optimization of revenue-generating programs.
  • Forecast and manage tactical budget for assigned portfolio.
  • Complete other duties as assigned to meet company goals.



Skills you'll need here:

  • BA/BS in marketing or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of marketing experience.
  • Proven success in managing and implementing B2B and/or B2C direct marketing customer lead generation, account-based marketing, and/or nurture programs.
  • Experience carrying out data-driven marketing campaigns; experience with program management, reporting, and business intelligence software a plus.
  • Strong understanding of emerging digital marketing trends, technologies, and integration strategies.
  • Able to remain agile while successfully project managing a high-volume of work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • The creativity and ingenuity needed to create content strategies that balance user needs with business requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with other team members, customers, sales, etc. and provide clear direction other others.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Passion for events and ability to travel as needed to conferences and customer events.
  • Confident writer who can convey a powerful story succinctly.



Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Experience in the education, publishing and/or information industry market(s).
  • Experience partnering with creative services, freelance/contractors, agency partners or other vendors to develop marketing campaigns.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign a plus.
