ABOUT THE ROLE

You will play an active role in growing the Happy Money community and shaping Member engagement working with both internal and external partners to ensure the Happy Money community is engaged through all aspects of our brand engagement programs. This role will work across the Marketing, Communications, Science, Legal, Member Experience teams and more to define, build and execute our member engagement programs throughout the organization, as well as work with the content team to tell our member and brand stories.



WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS ROLE

Membership Engagement Programming

  • Own the cross-functional development, strategy and launch, and ongoing management of our “Living and Giving” Member Engagement programs, including conceptual and pilot testing for programs such as referrals, giving, and rewards platforms. 
  • Responsible for driving engagement strategy, internal process, KPIs, and identifying vendors to support brand engagement programs with cross-functional teams including Marketing, MX, Product, People + Culture, Legal, and Finance teams. 
  • Works with brand marketing to amplify programming in broader consumer + PR efforts and ensure on-brand execution 
  • Develop KPI and reporting to communicate to cross-functional teams and leadership
  • Content Development + Community Growth 
  • Responsible for driving community engagement through Membership Programs including content, incentives, and working with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities based on data + insights
  • Working with content and marketing team, responsible for defining how our Membership Engagement programs come to life in content and communicated across marketing channels 
  • Oversees Community Manager and overall Member Stories programs and process
  • Identify Member stories + testimonials for review 
  • Develops best in class UGC process for Member Stories
  • Moderate member-submitted content for adherence to Happy Money Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
  • Be the bridge between Product Research, Consumer Insights, Science and Marketing teams to always find opportunities for member community collaboration
  • Brand Stewardship + Leadership
  • Works with the brand team to understand Happy Money Transition priorities, timing, and opportunities for Membership Engagement Programs 
  • Provides strategic direction to cross-functional teams and members on Member Engagement content execution, + UGC based on updated brand positioning, language, look and feel 
  • Drives Membership Engagement strategy in concert with brand team leadership
  • Collaborates with content team on overall content strategy and supports as necessary

Content Development + Community Growth

ABOUT YOU

  • Have the ability to adjust to changes in priorities in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment
  • You're an effective and articulate communicator, able to rally and influence & manage up 
  • Highly collaborative, incl. in international and cross-cultural context
  • Internet and tech savvy with an understanding of chat rooms, blogs, social networking sites, and a passion for the space
  • 5+ years social media + community management experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications or equivalent experience

BONUS POINTS FOR

  • Experience working with tools such as Slack, Zendesk, and Google Drive (with the aptitude for picking up new tools quickly)
  • Experience collaborating with a lean team and wearing multiple hats when necessary
  • Previous start-up or financial industry experience
