Position Summary

The B2B Marketing Manager will be accountable for US marketing campaign strategy, planning, and execution for partnership development in Pearson's Virtual Schools division. Working in close collaboration with sales, program management, and broader marketing teams, the manager will have responsibility for lead generation and lead nurturing for our B2B customers to help achieve business goals. He or she will develop messaging, audience analysis, website development, content curation, sales collateral and channel selection for marketing initiatives such as lead generation, thought leadership, and sales enablement and support.

This role will partner with product, channel owners, and others to determine supporting disciplines and activities, interface with broader Marketing teams to deliver a successful campaign, and be accountable for campaign strategy, development, and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with B2B marketing team members on shared priorities to co-develop high-level strategy and execution plans, to ensure shared vision and consistency across channel plans and campaign activities and events.
  • Collaborate with external industry associations and media partners to leverage these partnerships in support of marketing and sales strategy.
  • Develop lead generation strategy and initiatives to support sales' team objectives
  • Develop marketing content and collateral, to be used in various channels and campaigns, to assist with value creation, positioning, nurturing, and thought leadership
  • Develop and execute B2B marketing plans that may include PPC, email campaigns, participation in industry conferences and events, webinars, and website updates
  • Work with Insights, Performance Marketing, and Creative teams to execute campaign channel plan and to ensure successful planning and measurement of campaign, gather metrics, report on ROI and results/achievements.
  • Develop and deliver content marketing strategy across multiple channels
  • Provide regular status reports and post-campaign analysis with insightful observations about opportunities to refine and recalibrate existing and future tactics.
  • Coordinate with colleagues at all stages of campaign to ensure campaign meets their needs and is fit for purpose.
  • Ensure relevant business stakeholders are kept informed at each stage of campaign.
  • Positively influence customers' experience with the Pearson brand.
  • Update website positioning, messaging, and content
  • Perform competitive analysis to understand and develop strategies for how we win


Qualifications:

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate and execute strategies into deliverables.
  • 8+ years of marketing experience; digital marketing skills a plus
  • Strong B2B marketing experience
  • Bachelor's degree, preferable in marketing, business, communications; MBA preferred
  • Accustomed to working with data and comfortable with multiple analytics programs.
  • Strong experience with event-based marketing, and the ability to use thought leadership and partnerships for audience development.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills and ability to partner with internal sales teams.
  • Powerful interpersonal skills and ability to use these to influence outcomes by communicating with persuasiveness and candor with an engaging and energetic personality. Ability to appreciate the diversity of stakeholder interactions and adapt style and approach accordingly.
  • Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com's MarketingCloud and with Pardot, a plus
  • Ability to plan, manage, prioritize and successfully complete multiple complex projects simultaneously and in budget, while measuring progress.
  • Ability to apply creative thinking and imagination to campaign development, planning and execution, as well as an unrelenting focus on the target audience.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meets deadlines, remain positive and calm.
  • Must be very comfortable with continuously changing opportunities and priorities


The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $85K - $115K. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
